数年前までこんな日曜日には、どこの教会も日曜礼拝がお休みとなりました。
ところがオンラインでの礼拝に切り替わっている今、お休みする必要はありません。
人々が教会堂まで来るのではなく、教会堂が人々の居間にまでお出かけしているのですから。
さぁこれから、人を活かす聖書のお言葉を通じて永久の創造者を礼拝します。
ワクワクです。

But now that we have switched to online worship, there is no need to cancel Sunday services.
Instead of people coming to the church, the church is going out to people's living rooms.

「この人に神のわざが現れるため」
ヨハネの福音書 9章1～12節
"さて、イエスは通りすがりに、生まれたときから目の見えない人をご覧になった。
弟子たちはイエスに尋ねた。「先生。この人が盲目で生まれたのは、だれが罪を犯したからですか。この人ですか。両親ですか。」
イエスは答えられた。「この人が罪を犯したのでもなく、両親でもありません。この人に神のわざが現れるためです。
わたしたちは、わたしを遣わされた方のわざを、昼のうちに行わなければなりません。だれも働くことができない夜が来ます。
わたしが世にいる間は、わたしが世の光です。」
イエスはこう言ってから、地面に唾をして、その唾で泥を作られた。そして、その泥を彼の目に塗って、
「行って、シロアム（訳すと、遣わされた者）の池で洗いなさい」と言われた。そこで、彼は行って洗った。すると、見えるようになり、帰って行った。
近所の人たちや、彼が物乞いであったのを前に見ていた人たちが言った。「これは座って物乞いをしていた人ではないか。」
ある者たちは、「そうだ」と言い、ほかの者たちは「違う。似ているだけだ」と言った。当人は、「私がその人です」と言った。
そこで、彼らは言った。「では、おまえの目はどのようにして開いたのか。」
彼は答えた。「イエスという方が泥を作って、私の目に塗り、『シロアムの池に行って洗いなさい』と言われました。それで、行って洗うと、見えるようになりました。」
彼らが「その人はどこにいるのか」と言うと、彼は「知りません」と答えた。"
(1)イエスの個人に向けた眼差し
弟子たちの一般論〜病の神学的理由を尋ねて
「先生。この人が盲目で生まれたのは、だれが罪を犯したからですか。
この人ですか。両親ですか。」
イエスはカテゴライズせず、その当人自身に情熱を注いでいる。
「この人が罪を犯したのでもなく、両親でもありません。この人に神のわざが現れるためです。」
(2) 男に与えられた機会
①「道の途中で」(1)の偶然の出来事か
生まれつきの盲人や他に病を持った人は多くいたであろう。
②宗教的であっても信仰的な家庭環境出身ではなかった(20-23)
私たちに与えられている機会をどう生かすか。
⑶神の栄光が現されるため
①目の見えるものは盲目とされる(39)
パリサイ人らは「私たちは目が見える」と言っている。
罪の認罪なく、救いを必要としない人たち。
②目の見えないものが見えるようになった
真理について、まっさらな心で求道している(30-33)男の姿勢。
人には成し得ないことが実現する時、人々は神が生きたもう事を知る。
(結論)
神の奇跡のわざは、特定の選ばれし人にしか現わされないのだろうか。
その恩寵に与る機会は、全ての人に、この私にも与えられているはずである。
真理を探り求めるものに神は応えられる。
今回のノースウェストを襲っている雪嵐は南からやって来ています。
昨晩からポートランドは雪の吹雪に包まれました。
道路も氷結し車体も氷ですっぽり覆われていました。
家人からは危険を避けてこの日曜日まで留まるようにとのメッセージが入ります。
常に慎重派の彼女と冒険屋のわたし。
ハハ〜そのアドバイスも振り切って帰路に着きました。
確かに路面は凍結しているし、雪の上ではハンドルを取られるし、一瞬も気を抜くことができません。
途中、大型トレーラーが側溝に横転しているところや、3車線道路の中央でトラックが普通乗用車に衝突したときろなど事故現場を3カ所通過しました。突然目の前に減速した車が現れたときには急ブレーキが間に合わず衝突しそうになった時にはヒヤリマックス。
タコマを過ぎたあたりでようやく路面から雪が消えて、先ほど午後7時過ぎにシアトルに到着。
そしてこの夜からシアトルでも積雪が始まるようです。
皆さん外出にはくれぐれもお気をつけ下さい。
The snow storm that is hitting the Northwest this time is coming from the south.
Since last night, Portland has been engulfed in a blizzard of snow.
The roads are icy and the car bodies are completely covered with ice.
I get a message from my family telling me to stay here until this Sunday to avoid danger.
She's always the cautious one and I'm the adventurous one.
I shook off her advice and headed home.
It's true that the road surface is icy and you can't let your guard down for even a moment as the snow takes your steering.
On the way, I passed three accident sites, including a semitrailer overturned in a ditch and a truck colliding with a standard passenger car in the middle of a three-lane road. I had a near-miss when a car suddenly slowed down in front of me and I couldn't brake in time and almost collided.
After passing Tacoma, the snow finally disappeared from the road surface and I arrived in Seattle just after 7:00 PM.
And it looks like the snow will start to accumulate in Seattle this evening.
Please be careful when you go out.
テイクアウトの夕食をどうするか。
そのままホテルまで持ち帰れば25分の運転中に味噌汁は冷え切ってしまう。
そこでレストランの外側の歩道で1人で寒さに凍えながら食べることを決断。この方が味噌汁が温かいだけありがたし。
ここPortlandは今週金曜日からステイホームオーダーがやや緩和されて、25%の顧客収容数での営業ができるようになるという。
明日の木曜からは大雪の予報。
レストランにたどり着けるかどうかすら解りません。
「麒麟が来る」最終回を見ました。
最新の研究に基づく時代考証を十分に取り入れてあり、またドラマとしてのエンターテイメント性も加味した魅力あるものでした。
大河ドラマとしてここ昨今には無い完成度の高いものだったと思います。
日本史最大のミステリーとされる本能寺の変の光秀の動機についてのストーリー展開は申し分ありません。
朝廷や徳川家康、足利義昭などは直接の黒幕ではないが、光秀の決起を後押しした。直接の決起の理由としては、暴君信長を引き止めなくてはならないとする彼の個人が抱く価値観にあった。
時代考証役の小和田さんの推奨している「信長暴君阻止説」が充分説得力があるものと私個人は受け取っています。
エンターテイメント性については、光秀が生き延びていたと言う最終幕。私個人としてはこれはありえないと考えますが、大河ドラマの主人公を殺してしまっては多くの視聴者をがっかりさせると言う思惑も働いたのでしょう。
ここまでの考察なら、私以外でも多くの人がYouTubeなどで同じような持論を展開しています。
ここで無謀にも、ドラマを離れた安土桃山時代における本能寺の変を評価したいと思います。
この光秀の突発的な決起が人々にどのようなインパクトを与え、その生活や思考に影響を及ぼしたのか。
それは、麒麟が来る、すなわち平和な時代を構築するために寄与したのかどうか。
これらを考察するためには、江戸中期以降に多く作られたフィクション性豊富な史料ではなく、当時日記のようにして生々しい時代の空気をそのまま書き残している史料が最も重要であると考えます。
それはポルトガル語で書かれた後、400年間ほど日の目を見ないまま保管されていたルイス・フロイス著「日本史」です。
当時の息遣いが聞こえるほど現場に居合わせた者としての目撃者情報が満載です。
織田信長という中心勢力が瓦解すると、社会は突然無法地帯となり、暴動や殺戮、強盗や追い剥ぎなど各地で起こり、混乱を極めた様子が記録されています。
明智の軍勢が織田の本拠地であった安土に数日後に押し寄せると聞くと、安土の人々は「最後の審判の日を示したように混乱した」とあります。
「婦女の声、子供らの鳴き声、男たちの叫びなど民衆の混乱と狂気の沙汰は慨嘆すべきものがあった。自らの生命を救うに懸命のあまり、家屋や家財は放置されたままであり、かような事態が生じる度に人々が町を去っていったので、我らの恐怖と不安は増大する一方であり、昼夜の別なくそれらの日々は大混乱の中にあった」
これは当時の安土の町に建てられていたセミナリオ(神学校)に滞在していたルイス・フロイス自身による目撃情報です。
「木曜日の朝方になると、近江国出身の身分の高い侍が、事の経過を知って明智側に属することを証明するために自邸に放火した」としてフロイスは驚いています。
「それは非常に美しい豪華な邸であり、安土城に接して建っていたものであり、それが燃えるのが神学校から望見していたが、何のためにそうするのかがわからなかった」とあります。
その後、司祭や修道士とともに町中の人たちと行動を合わせ、市内から抜け出ざるを得なかったとのことです。
光秀自身は天皇や足利将軍などこれまでの中世の社会秩序を重んずるがゆえ、それを維持するための本能寺の変であったのでしょう。
しかしその中世の社会とは、人間の生命が虫けらのように軽んじられ、強いものだけが生き延びる権をもった弱肉強食であり、下克上の世界です。
本能寺の変によって、秀吉による天下統一が実現するまで、その中世のおぞましい殺戮世界へと後退してしまったと言えるのではないでしょうか。その時代を後退させた張本人が光秀自身であり、決して褒められた存在でないと考えます。
繰り返しますがこれは私個人の意見です。
これに反論してくださる方がいたら、うれしく思います。

I watched the last episode of "The Kirin Cometh.
It was a fascinating drama that fully incorporated historical research based on the latest research, and also added entertainment value to the drama.
I think it was a high level of perfection that has not been seen in recent years as a Taiga drama.
The story of Mitsuhide's motive for the Honnoji Incident, which is considered to be the greatest mystery in Japanese history, was perfectly developed.
The Imperial Court, Ieyasu Tokugawa, and Yoshiaki Ashikaga were not the direct masterminds, but they did encourage Mitsuhide's decision. The direct reason for his decision was the values held by his person that the tyrant Nobunaga had to be stopped.
I personally find the theory of stopping Nobunaga's tyranny, as recommended by Mr. Owada, the historical reviewer, to be sufficiently convincing.
As for the entertainment value, the final act that Mitsuhide had survived. I personally do not think this is possible, but I suppose they thought that killing off the main character of a Taiga drama would disappoint many viewers.
So far, many people besides me have developed similar theories on YouTube.
Here, I would like to recklessly evaluate the Honnoji Incident in the Azuchi-Momoyama period, away from the drama.
What kind of impact did this sudden decision by Mitsuhide have on the people and how did it affect their lives and thoughts?
Did it contribute to the coming of the Kirin, i.e., to the building of a peaceful era?
In order to examine these questions, I believe that the most important historical documents are not the fictional documents that were produced in the mid-Edo period and later, but rather the documents that were like diaries at the time, and that left the vivid atmosphere of the times as they were.
This is the "History of Japan" by Luis Frois, which was written in Portuguese and kept in storage for 400 years without being seen by anyone.
The book is full of eyewitness information from people who were there, so we can hear the breath of the time.
When the central power of Oda Nobunaga collapsed, society suddenly became a lawless zone, with riots, killings, robberies, and raids occurring all over the country, recording the chaos that ensued.
When the people of Azuchi heard that Akechi's army would be coming to the Oda stronghold of Azuchi in a few days, they were "as confused as if it were the day of the final judgment.”
“The confusion and insanity of the people, including the voices of women and children, the cries of men, was something to be marveled at. Our fears and anxieties increased as people left the town whenever such a situation arose, and our days were in turmoil day and night.”
This is an eyewitness account by Luis Frois himself, who was staying at a seminary built in the town of Azuchi at the time.
Frois was surprised to learn that on Thursday morning, a high-ranking samurai from Omi Province set fire to his house to prove that he belonged to the Akechi side.
“It was a very beautiful and luxurious mansion, standing next to Azuchi Castle, and I could see it burning from the seminary, but I could not understand why he was doing it.”
Later, he and the priests and monks were forced to act together like the people of the town and slip out of the city.
Mitsuhide himself respected the social order of the Middle Ages, including the emperor and the Ashikaga shoguns, and the Honnoji Incident was probably an attempt to maintain that order.
However, the medieval society was a world where human life was disregarded like insects and only the strongest had the right to survive.
With the Honnoji Incident, we can say that we have regressed to the horrific killing world of the Middle Ages until the unification of Japan by Hideyoshi. Mitsuhide himself was the one who caused that era to regress, and I don't think he should be praised for it.
Again, this is my personal opinion.
I would be happy to hear from anyone who would like to refute this.
本日からなでしこのお姉さんは「お江戸日本橋」のお稽古に入りました。
日本橋から東海道を上って京都にまで至る、53次の宿場町の様子が唄に詠われています。
その旅人の姿が踊りで表現されるところが見ていて楽しいです。
さらにお姉さんは先週仕入れたばかりのお琴を師匠の前で演奏披露しました。
やがて日本の伝統楽器であるお琴、三味線、尺八なども使いこなすようになるかと思います。
我が子がここまでなでしこ道に精進しているのに、私はそれを横目で見ているだけで良いのだろうか？
そんなことを考えながら帰宅後に湖のほとりに立ちました。
すると、そのすぐ側にあの魔女さんも現れたのです。
しかも今回はあの笛を吹きだすではありませんか。
今日は冷たい強風が吹く寒い日なのです。
ピンチです。
いやはや今日のその笛の音色は、カヤックで漕ぎ出すように命じるものでした。
そこで私は笛の奏でる魔術に抗うこともできないまま、カヤックを漕ぎ出しました。湖上からは空の一画に虹がかかっているのが見えます。
魔女のお姉さんが笛を吹き続け、さらに歌い始めると、
いよいよその魔力が空にも及んだようです。
途切れていた虹が見事に結びついて、地表から地表に至る半円をつくり始めたのです。しかも7つの色がくっきりと現れ始めました。
寒中水泳で達成感を得て満足するよりも、この偉大な自然美に魅せられた方が無難な生き方と言うものです。
魔女のお姉さん、ありがとう。
Today, the Nadeshiko started to practice "Oedo Nihonbashi".
The song is about the 53 inn towns along the Tokaido highway from Nihonbashi to Kyoto.
It was fun to see how the dancer expressed the travelers.
She also played the koto, which she had just bought last week, in front of the master.
I'm sure that she will soon be able to use traditional Japanese instruments such as the koto, shamisen, and shakuhachi.
I wondered if it was all right for me to just watch from the side as my daughter devoted herself to Nadeshiko-do.
Thinking about this, I stood by the lake after returning home.
Then, the witch appeared right beside me.
And this time, she started blowing her flute.
It's a cold day with a strong wind.
I'm in a pinch......
However, The sound of the flute today was like a command to paddle out in a kayak.
So, unable to resist the magic of the flute, I set off in my kayak. From the lake, I could see a rainbow in the sky.
The witch's sister kept blowing her flute and even started singing.
It seemed that the magic had finally reached the sky.
The rainbows, which had been interrupted before her blowing, began to come together to form a semicircle from the surface of the earth to the other side of the earth. Moreover, the seven colors began to appear clearly.
It's a safer way of life to be enchanted by this great natural beauty than to be satisfied with a sense of accomplishment from swimming in the cold.

今日も魔女は踊りのお姉さんの着物姿で迎えてくれました。
いつの間にかお琴を探し出しては取り寄せていて、すでにその練習を始めています。誰からも教わったことがないのに音を聞き分けながら踊りの教室で習った曲を弾いていました。
踊りの師匠からは、明日の稽古から新しい曲目「お江戸日本橋」を始めると伺っています。
そこで夕食後、これからその曲の歌詞の漢字や意味を特訓するところです。
東海道五十三次の出発地点日本橋から京都へ向かう宿場町の様子が歌われています。私の地元の保土ヶ谷も出てくるなど、楽しいこと、懐かしいこといっぱいです。
Today, the pretty witch welcomed me again in the kimono as a dancing sister.

The song is about a town on the way to Kyoto from Nihonbashi, the starting point of the Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido.
Hodogaya, my hometown, also appears in the song, and so there are many fun and nostalgic things in the song.
今日の天気は変わりやすかった。
雲間からわずかにお日様が照っているのを見つけ急いで靴を履いてひなたぼっこをしようとした時、再び雲間に隠れてしまったり、、、
今やこの時期、日光浴びるのは高価な医薬品を手にするような貴重な営みです。鬱にならないためにしっかりとセロトニンを生成しなくてはなりません。
ここ1ヵ月間ほど謎の故障で使えなくなっていたプリンター。
今日も作動しなければ新しく買うしかないと決意を固めてそのプリンターをひっくり返していろいろと調査。
「トレイに用紙がしっかり設置されていない」とのエラーメッセージ。
どれだけマシンをひっくり返して調べても異常が見つからない。
試しにもう一度作動させたところ、見事に印字に成功。
お天気屋さんがここにもいたようです。
とにかくプリンターが使えるようになってうれしかった。

「いのちの神の御言葉」
使徒の働き 13章42～49節
"二人が会堂を出るとき、人々は、次の安息日にも同じことについて話してくれるように頼んだ。
会堂の集会が終わってからも、多くのユダヤ人と神を敬う改宗者たちがパウロとバルナバについて来たので、二人は彼らと語り合い、神の恵みにとどまるように説得した。
次の安息日には、ほぼ町中の人々が、主のことばを聞くために集まって来た。
しかし、この群衆を見たユダヤ人たちはねたみに燃え、パウロが語ることに反対し、口汚くののしった。
そこで、パウロとバルナバは大胆に語った。「神のことばは、まずあなたがたに語られなければなりませんでした。しかし、あなたがたはそれを拒んで、自分自身を永遠のいのちにふさわしくない者にしています。ですから、見なさい、私たちはこれから異邦人たちの方に向かいます。
主が私たちに、こう命じておられるからです。『わたしはあなたを異邦人の光とし、地の果てにまで救いをもたらす者とする。』」
異邦人たちはこれを聞いて喜び、主のことばを賛美した。そして、永遠のいのちにあずかるように定められていた人たちはみな、信仰に入った。
こうして主のことばは、この地方全体に広まった。"
(1)汲み取られたみことば
①「人々は次の安息日にも同じ言葉を話してくれるように頼んだ」(42)
オウム返しに同じ事柄を聞きたいと言うのではない
②依頼した「人々」とは信仰を抱いて聞きたいと言う姿勢の人々(43)
彼らには人たちの言葉が単なる知識教養伝達ではなく神の言葉=メッセージとして受け取った
(2) 2つの結果をもたらしたみことば
①信仰の応答(44)
「神の言葉を聞きに集まってきた」〜説教に内在している神のメッセージを聞き取ろうとの姿勢
②不信仰の応答(45)
「ねたみに燃えた」ユダヤ人たち〜神の御言葉がいのちを持って人々にせまらる時、常にこの両極端の対応が生まれる
⑶神ご自身を体現するみことば
①「主の言葉=神を賛美した」(48)
異本で同意語として翻訳されていることがわかる。
御言葉を通じて上と出会い、神と交流し、神に至るのである。
②「主のみ言葉は、この地方全体に広まった」(49)
主ご自身が広められていたことと同意。
信仰に入るのは各位の決意であるが、同時に主の選びという神秘性がある(48)
(結論)
聖書を開くときに、ここから神ご自身を体験する触媒としてのみ言葉に聞き入ろう
気がつけば、なでしこ道特訓の日がまたもや来ていました。
この日娘は日ごろから熱心に指導してくださっている師匠に日本語での感謝状を渡しました。曰く、
「これからもなでしこへの道を精進して行きます」
この言葉に違わず、熱心な生徒と師匠との切磋琢磨する稽古が始まりました。
この日は高校生になったばかりの新人も来ていて、入門2ヶ月にしかならない娘が既に先輩の立場に。
張りつめた緊張の1時間の稽古は瞬く間に過ぎて行きます。
この日師匠のメリー先生は朝9時から午後4時まで6コマの授業を1人で教えられます。ランチ休憩も取らずに70歳を遥かに超える方が、どこからかのような精力的なパワーを得ているのでしょうか。彼女こそ西洋文化にも通じながら、なでしこ道を極めた国宝的な存在です。
娘らがこうしてなでしこ道へ精進している時、私はそれを眺めているだけでいいのだろうか。
そんなことを考えながら帰宅後、湖畔立った時でした。
その時娘もその場に居合わせたのですが、例の魔女の笛を持っていなかったのです。
おお、危ない、危ない。
もしあの笛を吹かれていたら魔術に取り付かれるまま、体は動き出し、踊りだし、湖へ突き落とされていたことでしょう。
そうしたら覚醒しアドレナリンが放出してしまい、その後の昼寝は実現しなかったはずです。
日本の東北に住む友人方は日曜日の礼拝を前にして、皆さん雪かきに精を出していらっしゃるとの事。ご苦労様でございます。
こちらではストレスフリーの、ゆっくりまったりした時間を楽しませていただいています。
I realized that the day of Nadeshiko-do special training had come again today.
On this day, my daughter gave a letter of appreciation in Japanese to her teacher who has been teaching her diligently. She said,
I will continue to devote myself to becoming a Nadeshiko.
True to these words, the friendly competition between the enthusiastic students and the master began.
On this day, there was a newcomer who had just entered high school, and my daughter, who had only been in the class for two months, was already in the position of a senior.
The tense hour-long practice went by in the blink of an eye.
On this day, Mary-sensei, the master, taught six classes from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. by herself. I wondered where she got such energetic power for someone who is well over 70 years old without taking a lunch break. She is a national treasure who has mastered the way of Nadeshiko, while also being familiar with Western culture.
I wonder if I should just watch my daughter as they devote themselves to the Nadeshiko Way.
It was while I was standing by the lake after returning home, thinking about such things.
My daughter was also there, but she didn't have her witch's flute with her.
Oh, watch out, watch out.
If she had blown that flute, I would have been possessed by the magic, my body would have started moving and dancing, and I would have been thrown into the lake.
Then I would have been awakened and my adrenaline would have kicked in and I would not have been able to take a nap afterwards.
My friends in Tohoku, Japan are shoveling the snow before the Sunday service. Thank you for your hard work.
I'm enjoying a stress-free and relaxing time here.
