日本では円安の話がよく出てきますが、円安に関して言えば、主に米国ドルに対しての話だと思います。しかし、実際には韓国のウォンなど他の通貨と比較しても、この図のように過去5年間で円安が続いていることは明らかです。これによれば、過去5年間で円は韓国ウォンに対して19.4%価値が下がっています。韓国からの観光客が多くなる理由もこれを見ればよくわかります。日本は今、世界で一番物価の安い先進国ではないでしょうか。日本政府はデフレが悪いと言ってインフレ傾向に持っていこうとしますが、それは物価を高くしてインフレをなくすのではなく、本来は国民の収入が高くなって物価が自然に上がるという姿が正しいはずです。今のインフレは、政府が作ったただの見せかけのように見えます。

 

In Japan, discussions about the yen’s depreciation frequently come up, and it’s often in relation to the US dollar. However, as illustrated in this chart, it’s clear that the yen has also been depreciating against other currencies like the Korean Won over the past five years. Over this period, the yen has lost 19.4% of its value compared to the Korean Won. This explains why there are so many tourists from Korea. Japan might now be the cheapest advanced country in the world. The Japanese government claims that deflation is bad and tries to create inflation, but the correct scenario should be where people’s incomes rise naturally, causing prices to increase. The current inflation seems to be just a facade created by the government.
