No, I am not playing golf this weekend. This picture was take on the way to A/C cooled office this afternoon. In case if you are not familiar with the celsius, 36C is 96.8 Fahrenheit. This is very hot.

After living here in the US for 30 years, I am still used to metric system.

Don't you love the sound of "NO SALES TAX"? I know McLendons is paying the sales tax by discount the product by about 10%. But NO SALE tax sounds better than 10% off store wide.

I just hate paying tax to the State. They just spend it no matter how much we give them. I heard they are giving themselves a raise while they are cutting school and emergency service funds.

If you are a Mac User, you have a lot going for you and you know it. But Aperture isn't one of them.

I bought Aperture 3 (Photo Organizing Software) when it came out. It was full of bugs and was not able to use it. It has been a while and there has been many updates for the software. So, yesterday I updating the software to the latest version and imported 49,000 images from iPhoto.

It does not work. Maybe my 2.8Ghz (4GB RAM) iMac is not fast enough, but the software just slows my entire computer down so much that it became useless. I am now deleting the library and getting back to iPhoto.

SPAM with Zipped File

There have been many SPAM email with some kind of ZIP file attached. They came through untouched by our SPAM filtering system. We have been working on the SPAM filter to catch those SPAM emails without affecting any non-SPAM emails. It was not an easy task, but we think we have manage that and deployed to the live servers today.

The changes made to our filtering system should enable us to catch 80 to 100% of SPAM email that has ZIP file attached. This change will only effect the email with ZIP file attached.

Okay, now this is gone too far.
I am all for brown rice when I eat THAI or CHINESE FOOD. But for SUSHI, I can't imagine how it tastes. It is wrong.

Playing Golf in Japan

I think playing golf in Japan is much more formal. Some courses ask you to wear Jacket when you arrive at the course. Some courses do not allow shorts unless you wear knee high socks.

Also, you do not play 18 holes through. You play 9 holes and have lunch at the club house before you start your back 9. This enables the courses to have more people play as they let people start on both front and back 9 holes.

Also, you do not usually carry your own bags. They are either set on the cart and have one caddy.

Look at the email above. Doesn't it look like it came from AMAZON.COM?

I don't know where it came from. But it did not come from AMAZON.COM. This is what we call "phishing". This email try to get your credit card information. Do not click on the email like this. At any point, if it takes you to non AMAZON.COM URL, do not proceed.

It is very easy to fake the actual site. But nobody can fake the URL which is the AMAZON.COM part. If you see something like AMAZON.________.COM, it is not AMAZON.
