ホワイトハウスに住むバイデンさんから手紙が届きました。
手紙の日付は4月23日となっていますが、
届いたのが2週間ほど前のことです。
アメリカンレスキュープラン(アメリカ人救済計画)によって
$1400(14万円強)を直接銀行口座に振り込んだとあります。
ヤッホー、と喜んだのはつかの間のこと。
この現金は既に数ヶ月前にデビットカードとして
郵送で届けられていたものでした。
今頃手紙で知らせることないのに。
米国民が受け取った連邦政府からのコロナ・パンデミック給付金は今のところ合計で2000ドル(20万円強)です。
アキレス腱断裂で病院に通った際、

I received a letter from President Biden who lives in the White House.
The letter is dated April 23, but
It was received about two weeks ago.
By the American Rescue Plan
It says that $1400 (a little over 140,000 yen) was directly deposited into my bank account.
I was happy for a while.
But This cash had already been sent to me by mail as a debit card several months ago.
There was no need to send a letter now.
The total amount of federal corona pandemic benefits received by the American people so far is $2,000 (just over $200,000).
When I went to the hospital for a torn Achilles tendon, Kathy helped me find medical insurance from Washington State that would cover me.
I didn't even have to worry about a co-pay.
It was an unbelievably generous offer.
Kathy says it's due to the American Rescue Plan by the Biden administration.
