昨夜は夕食後、緊急治療室に自ら運転して行く。
待合室には10名ほどしかいなくても、
救急車で運ばれてくる急患が常時いるらしくて
自分の番がなかなか来ない。
3時間から4時間ほど待たされた。
ようやくドクターの治療室に通されたが、
ドクターによる検診は10分間ほど。
事故当時の事を説明し
その病状が
アキレス腱断裂にそっくりであることを話すと
ドクターもそれに同意。
そのドクターは治療については何もしないと言うことで、
次のドクターに会うためのアポイントメントの仕方や
痛み止めの薬を処方してもらう。
レントゲンやMRI等での細かい診療は
次のドクター任せらしい。
帰宅したら午前1時15分。
それから1日経ったけど、
足の痛みは続く。
足を心臓より上の位置にしておくと痛みはないが
松葉杖を使って歩こうとすると5分以上は耐えられない激しい痛み。
魔女の家には自分からはいけなくなったので、
魔女のお姉さんは夕食を持って駆けつけてくれた。
彼女のマッサージしてくれる手、
いたわりの言葉、
そして心込めたその料理は
当然のことながら
病院での滞在の5時間に勝る癒し効果があった。

I couldn't go to the witch's house by myself anymore.
