What is next in computer hardware technology?
No.1 thing that I would like to have for my computer is SSD. SSD stand for Solid State Drive. It is a replacement to hard disk drive. Instead of having the disk store data magnetically, SSD uses memory to store data. It is faster, more durable (because there is no moving parts), uses less power to operate but more expensive. It is a perfect storage for portable computers.
Right now you can get 256GB SSD for about $500 to $600. It is down from $5,000 just one year ago. Like any other computer hardware, the prices are going down fast. Just wait one more year; you will be able to purchase SSD for $1 per 1GB. The only problem is that you can buy hard disk storage for $0.10 per 1GB now.
I don't know. Some say Yes and others say No. But I know the climate is changing. I do not know if it is caused by human or not, but it is changing. Yesterday, there were hail and left some ice on the ground. It is middle of April, and it is supposed to be spring.
Today, president Obama spoke about economy
market reacted by shooting DOW downward. Nice. I like new president to do nothing when it comes to economy. But I know that the last thing he would do.
I closed mu Facebook account. I did not see it very useful for my business or my personal networking. Today I received an email from them stating that I can reactivate my old account using my email address and my password.
They are telling me that they are going to keep my information (although it will not be available for viewing to anyone) after I asked them to close my account just in case I change my mind. How nice of them.
DELETE THE DOMB THING LIKE I ASKED! (Excuse my Japanese)
Today, after careful consideration, I have decided to close my Facebook account permanently. The only social networking I am doing now is "Linked In".
I acually had a Facebook account for long time but have never used it.
I received couple of messages on mu Linked In account. I logged in and saw my message and wrote a reply and hit [SEND]. Then it happened. Actually, nothing happened. About 10 seconds later, screen turned in to the image that you see on the top. The mail server is down at Linked In. I cannot send any mail.
It does not happen often, but it shows even the company like Linked In can get this kind of problem. I saw this happened to Gmail before. As a hosting company, I know what must be going on to recover this at Linked In. I do really can relate to that.
I bought bananas ... At the store, all of them were this green. Aren't they too green? I have not eanten any of them. I don't think I can even peal them yet.
It has been two days ... they are still green.
I was driving around yesterday and saw what it looks like a picket sign. It was actually a store closing sign that am getting used to see now days. This time, it was a sign from G.I. JOES. I dont usually shop there. As a matter of fact I have been to JOES only once before.
But the sign made me look at the stores web page. (http://www.joessports.com) I learned that they were started in 1952. They have been in business 56 years. That is very long time. It makes me think what happened. Is it another victim of this recession? Or did they left behind in the Internet commerce?
Whatever it is, Pacific Northwest lost another icon.
This is an unbelievable deal. I just fount 52 Sharp AQUOS LCD HD TV for $1,099 plus $99 shipping. We just purchased the same TV for $200 more. I thought that was a super price.
If you are in a market for good LCD TV, this is a great deal. Here is the link to this site.

This is not a commercial. I am not getting paid.
Last night, my Korean friend took me to a Korean restaurant in Lynnwood (near Mill Creek) for dinner. It was the best Korean restaurant in Seattle area. (I was really hungry too. So that might had something to do with my judgment.)
I promised my friend that I wouldnt announce the name of the restaurant, so I will not write. But if you want to know I will take you there
but you must pay.
On this Tuesday, we had Seattle Executives Associate meeting at Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Seattle. This hotel is a member of Seattle Executives Association.
I have a special memory around this hotel. This is the very first hotel that I stayed in Washington State when I was scouting for the location of the US office for my former company. That was in 1985. It is 24 Years ago. I was single then.
State of Washington, Dept. of Commerce people booked me to this hotel because they had best Japanese breakfast in Seattle. I dont know if they have Japanese breakfast at the Crowne Plaza now. I stayed in this hotel for about five days and moved on to Los Angeles, San Francisco. I came back again to Seattle again but this time I stayed at Bellevue Holiday Inn. I think it is Best Western Hotel now.
My former company decided to open an office in Bellevue in 1985 and I moved here. I was 26 then. I did not know that I would be starting my business two years later.
BTW, do you see a little black dot near the top of the building? There is a guy hanging up there washing the windows.
