Most of the people in government who are pushing for these policies were born in the United States. That means they became American citizens by birth — they didn’t have to earn it. I wasn’t born in the U.S. I came here on a work visa and worked extremely hard for over 10 years to earn my American citizenship.

 

That’s why I am completely against illegal immigration. People who enter and remain in the country illegally have not gone through the process I did. They haven’t followed the law, paid the fees, waited in line, or passed the tests. It feels unjust that they are being offered protection, resources, and rights — all funded by taxpayers like me who went through the legal process.

 

I do not believe that those who were simply born here and never had to work for their citizenship should have the right to hand out privileges to people who break the law to stay here.

 

If you want to help someone immigrate, then take responsibility. Sponsor them. Do it legally, through the proper channels. That’s how I did it. That’s how it should be done.
