The building you see in this picture is the Grand Price Hotel Akasaka. This 40 Floor Building is one of the most recognized buildings in japan but is going to be closed at the end of March next year.
It is very sad to see this building being demolished. This is another sign of slow economic recovery in Japan. Is there anybody interested in buying this building in Japan? It is a great location for business (not for a hotel).
This is an interesting use of QR code in Japan. We are seeing QR code being displayed for the item that is on sale on TV show. If you are interested in the product, you are supposed to scan the QR code on the screen to place an order.
The term "QR Code" is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED.
This is a beginning of my trip from Tokyo to Osaka using Shinkansen, also known as Bullet Train, in Japan. There will be an English announcement half way through.
I completed my business trip in Japan and I got back to Seattle today. It was really warm in Tokyo.
When I was in Tokyo, one of the Krispy Kreme store opened. I went in and took a picture. I did not want wait in line. Besides I did not feel like eating warm donut in 100 degree weather.
I had a chance to visit one of the newest datacenter in japan. It is owned and operated by TOYOTSY SYSCOM. This building itself is suspened in the air by 16 pillers that are made of rubber to resist earthquake.
This datacenter want in operation in January and is half full. Great facility.
