Keywords for SEO
When you hear the word SEO, what thoughts come to mind? Is it how to make a website? Is it the design of a website? It's hard to know what to do to achieve the best SEO results, isn't it? The goal is to get your site listed first on search sites like Google.
Think about it, all search sites (including Google) display “search results”. So you need to think about what terms you want to appear at the top when users search. For example, consider a restaurant, and think about who would be searching for this business and when.
If I were searching for a restaurant, I would use the following keywords:
- Location / region
- Style (Japanese, Chinese, Italian, French, etc.)
- Cuisine (sushi, soba, pasta, paella, etc.)
- Type (lunch menu, set dinner, all you can eat, etc.)
- Features (large portions, very cheap, very spicy, etc.)
- Rating
I believe these are some of the most common search terms, but there are also many other keywords. By embedding them in your website, you will be able to help achieve proper SEO. Keywords vary from business-to-business, but it's important to think of keywords that are a good fit for you.
