I was at University of Washington, Communications Department graduation today. It was really wet until the very end.

I am looking at a bottle of Glenfiddich 12 Year Old ... It is sold at the Safeway here in Bellevue Washington for almost $40. This price does not include Washington State Taxes. The same bottle in japan is selling for 2,199 including tax (that is about US$28).
I understand tax being high, but the bottom line is the bottle itself is much much higher here. That means, it is not a State problem the liquors are more expensive, it is the distributors who are juicing up the prices.
Today was the first time I have been to Safeway this month. Starting this month, you can buy liquor at places like Safeway. Prices seemed high but I don't really know since I don't drink. And this price does not include Washington State Liquor Taxes.
First we kicked the State out of Liquor distribution business ... next may be abolishing the very high liquor taxes like we did to the car license tab.

Not many companies including PSPINC are addressing exploding Chinese populations in the US. New Port High School near my house in Bellevue is packed with cars every Saturday for Chinese language school.
Japanese market is about 1/3 or 1/4 of its size compared to it peak in 90'. But i think Korean market is at least double in last two decades and Chinese markets are double that of Korean market. Companies in the US must address those market more seriously.
When you look for an office space, you might want to check how good the Interect connectivities from the office you are looking at. Having a fiber optic near your propertiy is a good thing.
