Difference in Product Development Between the US and Japan
There is a fundamental difference between how products are being developed and released between the US and Japan.
In the US, it is important to release products as fast as possible. This practice enables the product to be released early but may carry many problems/bugs upon launch. When problems happen, they are fixed very quickly.
It is generally understood by the public that version 1 of anything made in the US carries risk. That was the reason why Ashton-Tate decided to name the initial version of their database software dBASE II. This way, people would think it is better than dBASE I (which never existed).
On the other hand, Japanese spend a lot of time refining the design and ensuring strong quality control. This means Japanese products have few problems, but the development time is much longer. When problems do occur, it again takes a longer time to address them.
When Microsoft Windows was released, all Japanese PC manufacturers like NEC, Fujitsu, Toshiba, and Sony had their offices inside the Microsoft Campus. This was done to customize and verify the functionality of Windows software before it was shipped to Japan. So the Japanese release was often later than the US release, but the Japanese version had much fewer problems.
Which is better? For consumers it is always better to have problem-free products. However, companies that release their product faster will be better accepted by the market, especially by investors. The current trend is to develop faster and to fix later.

When you are building something, anything, it is easy to get halfway done. At this point 50% of people quit.
You work as much as you did to get to 50% and now you are 80% done. At this point another 50% quits.
Again you work as much you did to get to 95%. Good enough 50% people say and quit.
You now spend the same time as you did to get to 95% to get you to 99%. You sure thing this is the best you can do. At this stage, whoever left, 99% of people will quit.
Only a few lest to make it complete to 100% ... at that point those people are not satisfied and want to start all over again.

I developed kidney problem due to my diabetes, I am going to the doctor for treatment. I take high blood pressure medication. I take prostate medication ... Lately I am having heartburn. For the hurt burn, I found the great OTC medication called Omeprazole. I take vitamin B and D ...

Since the spread of the Coronavirus, we were asked to close businesses except for those that were identified as “essential”. In addition, many companies (including my own) have been asked to work remotely, even though they are considered an “essential” business.
What is a “non-essential business”? Before being labeled “non-essential”, these companies were operating as a business which tells me they are classified as a valid business.
In short, companies that are now judged to be “non-essential” are people-gathering companies (mainly retail stores). Many of these stores have been forced to shut down to target and stop the spread of the virus. So I think it's wrong to close them as a “non-essential” business.
Everyone provides services and products people need, otherwise business would not continue. Therefore, we should stop calling them “non-essential” and instead refer to them as the companies that are working hard to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus. They are heroes too. There is no unnecessary business in this world.

Why Did 21 Million Phone Numbers Disappear from China After Coronavirus Outbreak?

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to devastate the world in ways no one ever imagined, some are questioning whether China is lying about the extent of COVID-19's impact on its own country.
Officially, China reported nearly 82,000 cases of the coronavirus and around 3,300 deaths, with only a handful of new cases each day, and announced the country is largely in recovery as China ended its lockdown of Wuhan, the city of 11 million people where the outbreak began. In comparison, the United States reported nearly 500,000 cases of the coronavirus around the country and more than 18,000 deaths by the disease – a figure some officials even believe is under-reported, despite grossly surpassing the numbers coming out of China.
So when major cellphone carriers in China reported a loss in nearly 21 million subscriptions in January and February, some skeptics theorized that the number of phone numbers that disappeared from the original hotspot of the disease may correlate to the real number of lives lost to the novel coronavirus.
According to data published by the mobile carriers, China Mobile Ltd. saw a drop of nearly 7.25 million subscribers and China Unicom Hong Kong Ltd. lost 7.8 million subscribers in January and February, while China Telecom Corp. lost 5.6 million subscribers in February alone, the Associated Press reported.
China affairs expert Tang Jinyuan explained that having a cellphone and a cell subscription is married to daily life in China. “Dealing with the government for pensions and social security, buying train tickets, shopping … no matter what people want to do, they are required to use cellphones," she said in an interview with the Epoch Times.

When the expiration date of your domain is within one month, we start sending you a noice. We start sending several notices before it expire and we even call you to let you know your domain is expiring. If all efforts failed, we have no choice but let the domain expired.
When the domain expired, anybody can buy the domain and it becomes new owner's property. Once that happens, there is noting you or we can do to get it back. You can negotiate with the new owners but often they are in the business of selling domains and will charge hundreds or even higher amount.

Another disturbing news from Atlanta. 27 Year old black man got shot and killed by police officer. DUI and resisting arrest is stupid! very stupid! But it will not grand a death sentence. “Entrepreneur” [noun] a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so.
Many people think they cannot start their own business and they are right. It is not easy to be an entrepreneur, you need to have a clear idea of what you want to do. You must be smart enough to create a business plan and stupid enough to start your own company. You then must stick with it regardless of how you are accepted in business. Of course you will not have any payroll unless you have revenue and profit. You must know that entrepreneurs have no minimum wage or set hours. Oh, you have no paid vacation either.
Everything that happens in your company, whether you are directly responsible or not, you are responsible for. If you are not willing to take responsibility, you should not be an entrepreneur. When I started my business, I was the inventor, bookkeeper, marketer, salesperson, manager and janitor. I had to do everything and by the way, after 33 years, I still do many things myself. I spend more time at the company than anyone, I think about new products, ways to save money and ways to sell 24 hours a day.
I often dream of something, wake up and write it down. Often the next day, I read the note and say to myself “What the hell was I thinking?”. I learn to trust people and I learn to lose those people. I am not always happy with the people I work with, but I learn to go on as much as I can.
That is what it means to be an entrepreneur. I am not happy 100% of the time but I am not unhappy 100% of the time either. I just go on. Taking responsibility for every bad thing and passing praise to my staff as much as I can. If I cannot do that, I would not be an entrepreneur. Not everyone can be an entrepreneur, but I do recommend those who want to try to be an entrepreneur, to do so. You may make a great entrepreneur, then again, you may not.. Being an entrepreneur is not work, it is a way of life.

From this pandemic, at one point DOW lost 36.8% from its peak. As of today, we are just 6.3% off from the peak. We manage to bounce back 30% less than three month.
As of today, I am about 7.6% less than my highest. That means, my investment is about 1% less than the DOW. I guess I am not a good investor, But my investment managed by Morgan Stanley seems to recover all the losses. That is 7.8% better than what I do it myself.

I have been watching the report on protest all around the US and I noticed on thing. There is no camera footage form the police point of views. Media is always stand on the side of protesters. And they are all reporting police violence. Why is that?
If the police does not allow media on their site, it is stupid of them. If media is choosing to go just one side, it Is not an unbiased media any more. I am vey frustrated about this. I want to see the both side of the story.
That is the Eason why media is often called "FAKE" ... that is because they forgot to tell the whole truth.

I agree with the message of BLACK LIVES MATTER.
I accept the fact we need to demonstrate and protest in public.
They are inconvenient but I can live with that inconvenience.
But I cannot believe the injustice gives nobody any right to vandalism, rioting and looting. Those actions are diluting the true cause of action. One wrong does not justify another. Even, 1,000 wrongs do not justify another.
Also, I think all the cites should open their football and baseball; stadium for protesters. Give them changes and places to people they want to talk to. If they banalize the stadiums, we can rebuild them. Us the tax money for that. Manu businesses including small businesses are hurting from the coronavirus. They do not need problems caused by rioting and looting. Let's protect them.
Let them do protest at places that we can ensure protestors safety.

I heard from many oder businessmen that they started their carriers at JCPenny. It was considered a best buisine model for a long time and it became the icon of US retail business. It is sad to see then struggling. I think they were not adopted to the change of the time.
After this closure, they still have about 600 stores in the US. I really hope they make it.

When you hear about something in the news, you can bet you will always hear the same story from other media outlets. This is because what the media is reporting is what they have announced publicly. The media is a medium between the publisher and its audience. They run stories without even checking the facts because that costs money. Making matters even worse, they tend to put a twist on the delivery or they don’t even run the story if they think the story is something their general audience does not want to hear.
The President calls it “Fake News” - I don’t use that term. Fake indicates the news that they are reporting is fabricated. No, I do not think the media is doing that. They are just reporting what their audience wants to hear. That does not mean they are fabricating it, they are manipulating it, but not fabricating it.
When the media knows they are serving an audience from one political view, it is natural to screen the news based on that audience. There is nothing illegal (although you may say immoral) about biased reporting. If the government controls the media, it is called propaganda. That may be the reason that when the media reports something good about the government, they are viewed as a puppet of that Government.
The Internet is so big, when you want to believe in something (regardless of how far fetched it is) you will find information to back your theory, an example being that the Earth is flat. By that logic, you cannot believe anything you see or read in the news or on the Internet, though that perspective would be too harsh. We should all keep reading and viewing news and information with skepticism or choose not to interpret something so literally.

I had proste biopsy to check my prose for cancer. Fortunately, everything was normal, no cancer. I the original bill before insurance is $8,028 ... I think I will be responsible for $572.72 after the insurance. Thank got for an insurance.
Here is what people in the US should know. The same procedure in Japan cost 11,000 yen after insurance or 36,667 yen ($350) without insurance. I am spending more with insurance in the US compared to the non-insurance cost of the procedure in Japan.

I filled my car up with gas this morning at Costco Gas Station in Kirkland.
At this process I wonder if there is any justification for buying electric vehicle.
One can argue EVs are better for an environment.
But that is provided the electricity that is created for EV station are generated using renewable resource like wind, solar and hydro. Are they? I wonder.
Many newer gas passenger vehicles are much more fuel efficient and do not emit much pollution ... at least that is my understanding. The price of EVs are much higher than gas powered vehicles and the gas savings does not offset the vehicles price difference.
But I am sure, the gas price will be up again. They we will be switching to EVs.
