How Small Businesses Can Survive

Today, with labor costs, insurance, rent, utilities, office equipment, and other costs rising, more and more companies believe they have no choice but to raise their product prices. However, in some cases, raising prices may narrow the market and ultimately reduce revenues. Furthermore, with the economy still in the doldrums, investing to increase profits is difficult. For small businesses to survive under these circumstances, you can consider the following solutions:

1. Cutting expenses: You can reduce the deficit by cutting expenses for all staff members in the company. However, there’s a limit to what can be done now when prices are rising. Just take care not to cut expenses so much that they interfere with work.

Why I think Tesla is doing great!

I'd be happy to expand on why Tesla is doing certain things better than the traditional car dealer network:

Manufacture direct sales... No dealer markup: Unlike traditional car dealerships, Tesla sells its cars directly to customers. This means that customers can purchase a Tesla vehicle online or at a Tesla retail store, and there is no middleman involved. By cutting out the dealer markup, Tesla is able to offer competitive prices to its customers, which is one of the reasons why Tesla vehicles are often seen as a good value for the money.

Most advanced auto-pilot features: Tesla has been a leader in developing advanced driver assistance systems, with their Autopilot feature being one of the most advanced in the market. This feature uses a combination of cameras, sensors, and radar to enable semi-autonomous driving. This means that Tesla drivers can take their hands off the wheel in certain situations, such as on highways, and let the car do the driving. Tesla is constantly updating its Autopilot system with new features and improvements, making it one of the most sought-after features in a Tesla vehicle.

Nationwide supercharger network: One of the biggest challenges for electric vehicles is charging infrastructure. Tesla has addressed this issue by building a nationwide network of superchargers, which are high-speed charging stations that can charge a Tesla vehicle in a matter of minutes. I would like to introduce the new service we are currently developing.

The service is called iSecureMessages and is designed to solve common problems that occur with communication via email between clients and businesses, such as (1) leakage of personal information, (2) messages not being delivered, and (3) not knowing if messages have been read. This service is not a new concept and is already being used by large organizations such as medical institutions, law firms, and accounting firms. It is intended to be an alternative to email.

Clients will be issued a username and password to log in to their own service using iSecureMessages, and messaging will take place through this portal. The content of the messages will be stored on the iSecureMessages side and can be accessed at any time. By using a portal instead of email, we can solve the aforementioned problems.

当サービスを利用するためには、クライアントにユーザー名とパスワードを発行し、自社のサービスにログインして、メッセージの送受信を行う必要があります。メッセージの内容は、iSecureMessages側で保管され、いつでも閲覧することができます。メールではなく、ポータルを利用することで、前述した問題を解決することができます。

Introducing Dean and Billy of NAI Puget Sound Properties

I had the opportunity to work with the Seattle Executive Association and explain how Dean and Billy of NAI Puget Sound Properties (https://nap-psp.com) helped PSPINC lease extra office space in Bellevue, WA. Initially, all I did was ask them to lease some space in our building, but they went above and beyond to accomplish this.

Firstly, they surveyed the market and determined the appropriate lease rate and terms for the available space. They then produced a marketing brochure that highlighted the property and the available space. They marketed the space through online subscription services such as CBA, CoStar, and Loopnet, as well as directly to the Puget Sound brokerage community. They also conducted tours for prospective tenants, vetted and qualified potential tenants, and coordinated all the necessary documentation from lease proposals to fully executed lease agreements.

I did not witness all the work that they did behind the scenes, but they were exceptionally good at what they did. If you are a property owner looking to lease out some space, I highly recommend contacting them.
