Stent Procedure at Virginia Mason Today

I was at Virginia Mason in Seattle this morning for a procedure to place a stent in the artery that supplies blood to my new kidney. The doctors found that the artery was slightly narrow, which could affect proper kidney function, so they decided to insert a stent to improve blood flow.

The procedure began at 8:30 AM and lasted about an hour, finishing by 10:00 AM. I was discharged in the afternoon and took the rest of the day off to rest at home. Now I'm lying down in bed, taking it easy and letting my body recover.
