Alaska / Hawaiian Airlines From Seattle to Tokyo/Narita

Alaska Airlines/Hawaiian Airlines will begin flying from Seattle to Tokyo Narita starting May 12, 2025. I checked the inaugural flight availability and business class pricing, and the current cost is either higher or comparable to other carriers like Delta, JAL, and ANA. At this price point, I don’t think I’ll be flying with them. However, I do welcome another carrier in the mix, as it may help reduce overall costs.

It’s surprising that flights from Seattle to Tokyo generally cost more than flights from Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Vancouver.
