Sales Thorough Distributors
Pacific Software Publishing, Inc. has been developing software since 1987. We have had some direct sales, but the majority of our sales have been through distributors. The base of our business model is to sell through distributors, and when distributors make a profit, we make a profit.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we continued to develop products, however, we could not find additional distribution companies to sign with us. Basically, we could not make new sales because we could not meet people. This year, however, our sales activities, including my own, are finally centered on meeting and networking with people. I am also making a series of business trips to Japan in search of new networks. I will be traveling to Japan five days after this newsletter is distributed.
The purpose of our efforts in Japan is to find a company to represent and sell our products. We are a SaaS-based software development company. Currently, we have a partner in Japan who sells our web hosting services, but we do not yet have distributors for our other products. My objective is to introduce other services to new partners in Japan.
We are of course looking for distributors in the U.S. as well. I think it is especially important for web development companies in the U.S. to become distributors of our web hosting services. For web development companies, developing is their revenue and hosting is their expense. However, if they decide to sign the reseller agreement with us, they can make hosting a revenue stream instead of an expense.
As I mentioned at the beginning, our goal is to provide a system that allows our distributors to make profits. We have been in business for 35 years. If you are at all interested in our services, whether in Japan or the U.S., please contact us.
