Thank you for letting me work remotely
Amid the coronavirus disaster, many companies have been promoting remote work. In particular, major IT companies have adopted remote work as a matter of course. However, common sense dictates that remote work is not possible in some industries. If you look at the reality of the situation, there are not many industries that allow remote work.
The following industries do not have remote work opportunities: agriculture, industry, service industry, manufacturing, construction, civil engineering, construction work, transportation, medical care, police/fire/emergency services, and military. The only industries where you can work remotely are those that are doing white-collar jobs. The people who make the world go round can't do anything remotely. So, in my opinion, selfish people and companies who boast about being able to work remotely should be grateful to those who work non-remotely for creating an environment where they can do so.
At my company, we ended remote work on July 1st this year. Needless to say, this was to increase the competitiveness of the company, but it was also in consideration of the fact that many of our customers come to work every day while we are working remotely.
Thanks to all of you who have continued to work in real life during the coronavirus disaster. We were able to work remotely until July - thank you very much. Thank you to all those who continued to work in the real world: agriculture, industry, service, manufacturing, construction, civil engineering, construction work, transportation, medical, police/fire/ambulance, and military.
