We have not used outside development company. We have remote developers outside of our office both in the US and Japan. But they are all our employees or independent contractors. In many cases, companies trying to sell their service to us do not know what we really do. Following are the usual email I sent back.

We host over 40,000 corporate website and take care of their email services.
We also provide CMS we build to our customers at no charge.
At this point, we do not recommend or restrict any of our customer to use third party web developers.
We also provide web and web server application development but do no use third party contractor.
