緊急事態宣言の延長

ここ数ヶ月間で初めてオリンピック山脈が全容を現してくれました。数百マイルも遠く離れている山容が、ここまでくっきり見える事は冬季には珍しいことです。
この日の午後になると、シアトルの空には薄い雲が再び広がり、再び山山はそれに隠れてしまいました。
遠い世界の気象を私たち人間はコントロールできません。
パンデミックに対応する政府や企業の施策にも、1個人としてはそれに翻弄せざるを得ないでしょう。
シアトルと日本を結ぶ航空便では、JALがこの3月で運行再開を始めました。しかし以前のような毎日就航ではなく、週に3回ほどの直行便での運行再開です。
ANAでは通常運行再開は来月中旬まで待たねばならないようです。
本日、神奈川県知事を東京都知事が欺くような形で緊急事態宣言の延長を決めたとかの報道に接しました。
私たちは遠い世界への力は及びませんが、すぐ近くにいる人たちと楽しんじゃえば良いんですよね。
今日も踊りのお姉さんは、着物を着こなし、お琴を演奏しながら私どもを迎えてくれました。夕食まで振る舞ってくれてありがとさまです。
彼らが夕食準備をしている時でした。私が満身の力を込めても、ある瓶のスクリューキャップを開けることができないことがありました。
脳の血管がブチ切れる位に満身の筋肉を使ったのです。お姉さんがその瓶を取り上げた時は、彼女にできるわけないと、皆さんもわかっていただけるでしょう。
しかしお姉さんは難なくと蓋を開けてしまったのです。
やはり魔女だった。
For the first time in months, the Olympic Mountains came into full view. It is rare in the winter to see the mountains so clearly from hundreds of miles away.
Later that afternoon, thin clouds reappeared in the Seattle sky, once again obscuring the mountains.
We humans have no control over the weather in distant worlds.
As individuals, we are at the mercy of the government's and corporations' measures to deal with pandemics.
As for flights between Seattle and Japan, JAL started to resume service in this March. However, it is not a daily service as before, but a direct service about three times a week.
It seems that ANA will have to wait until the middle of next month to resume normal service.
Today, I heard that the governor of Tokyo decided to extend the emergency declaration in a deceptive manner to the governor of Kanagawa Prefecture.
We can't reach the distant world, but we can have fun with those who are close by.
Today, the dancing lady welcomed us again, dressed in a kimono and playing the koto (Japanese harp). Thank you very much for serving us dinner.
It was while they were preparing dinner.
There was a time when I could not open the screw cap of a bottle even with all my strength.
It took every muscle in my body to burst a blood vessel in my brain. When she took the bottle away from me, you could tell that there was no way she could do it.
But she opened the lid effortlessly.
I knew she was a witch.
