What is the source code mean to the software company?

The source code is the list of instructions telling computer what to do when something happened. For software development companies, source codes are the very essence of their existence.

It is our instinct to keep them from possible competitors. You can perfectly operate the software without having the source code. Source codes are required only when you try to change the behavior of the software.

Pacific Software Publishing, Inc. allows employees t boring their pets to work. I used to bring Pompom with me everyday to the company. I cannot believe how many times Pompom calm me down. I wish he were here with me.
