Cloud providers that actively manage resources, or “services”, are known as cloud services. They can include products like data storage, applications, infrastructure, and development tools among others. These services are then categorized into three different service models:

Software as a Service (SaaS): Where cloud server providers sell software applications on a subscription basis online. Ex: Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace, etc.
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS): Where cloud server providers deliver computing resources like virtual machines (VMs), storage, and networks. Ex: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or any of PSPINC's SaaS business tools, among many other examples.

Announcement: MegaMail Server Security Update with Downtime (05/22/2024)

We’re happy to announce that we’re upgrading our operating system (OS) for MegaMail's server for its web service. We’re upgrading our OS from Cent OS7 to Alma Linux 8 since there will no longer be technical support for Cent OS7 after June 30, 2024, in a continued effort to strive towards making sure our hosting service is the safest it can be. With this new upgrade, it will help patch any vulnerabilities to defend users against cyber threats and also support new encryption protocols.

However, updating the OS will result in about 10 minutes of downtime. You may not be able to access your MegaMail admin panel during this time, so we thought you should know ahead of time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

This server upgrade will occur on:

*USA Pacific Daylight Time
- May 22 (Wednesday) 9:00-9:30am

*Japan Time
- May 23 (Thursday) 1:00-1:30am
