When PSPINC first started, our vision was to help grow the Japanese market by popularizing PC software, which was already established technology in the U.S. We eventually shifted our focus to creating our own software, and later expanded to other digital products. And we wanted to especially target small businesses, and we still do this today.

Despite diversifying our products and services, we continue to serve our Japanese audience. It’s why users can view our website in Japanese. So, it’s only natural that we want to help other small businesses do the same with our localization services. Since we translate everything from our blog content to our social media content to Japanese, we have no problem doing the same for other small businesses. How to Add a Website to Your Mac iOS Desktop

If there’s a site that you go to frequently and want a quicker way to get to them, the best way to do that is create a shortcut on your desktop home screen. Or, on your iPhone home screen. Doing so will allow you to gain instant access to the page without having to open a browser and enter the website URL. Let’s use the site for our password manager, Pass Wizard, as an example.

For Mac iOS Users Using Safari

Go to the website on Safari on your Mac desktop. For this example, we’re going to PassWizard.com/login. Then, highlight the URL in the web address bar.

Drag and drop the highlighted URL to your desktop.

Right-click the new icon and select 'Get Info'.

Under 'Name & Extension', change to 'Pass Wizard.webloc'. Note: you need to keep ".webloc" at the end. Then, hit 'Enter'.

Change the icon by copying the image you want to use to your clipboard. For this example, we'll be using the vault icon from our Pass Wizard Pro plans. Then, go back to the 'Get Info' screen with the desktop shortcut details and click on the small icon at the top of the Info window.

At the top of your Mac desktop's menu bar, click on 'Edit' and then click 'Paste'. Then, you'll see the icon image change, and you'll see the new custom icon after closing the Info window.

For Mac iOS Users Using Google Chrome

Go to the website using Chrome on your Mac desktop. Again, we’re going to PassWizard.com/login as an example.

Click the three dots in the top right corner. Select ‘More Tools’ and then select ‘Create Shortcut’.

Rename the shortcut to 'Pass Wizard' and click 'Create'.

Drag and drop the new ‘Pass Wizard’ icon from ‘Chrome Apps’ to your desktop and see the new icon on your desktop home screen.

Change the icon by following the same instructions from #5 from the Safari instructions.

Now that we’ve gone over how to add a website as a shortcut on your iPhone, maybe you’d like to add it onto your PC desktop as a shortcut. Especially if it’s a site you frequent when using your computer. That way, you won’t have to re-enter the URL every time you open an internet browser. Just like before, we’re going to use the login site for our password manager, Pass Wizard, as an example.

For PC Users using Chrome

Go to the website using Chrome on your PC desktop. Again, we’re going to PassWizard.com/login/ as an example.

Click the three dots in the top right corner. Select ‘More Tools’ and then select ‘Create Shortcut’.

Rename the shortcut to 'Pass Wizard' and click 'Create'.

To customize the desktop icon, save the photo you want to use as an icon file (.ico). An easy way to convert an image file like a .png or .jpg, go to www.freeconvert.com/png-to-ico and choose the image file you’d like to convert. Then, download the icon file. For this example, we’ve used the vault icon from our Pass Wizard Pro plans.

Go back to your desktop background and right click on your newly created desktop icon and click on ‘Properties’. Then click on the ‘Change Icon…’ button and then the ‘Browse…’ button. Select the icon image you’d like to use. If you converted the image file with the above link, the file will likely be in your ‘Downloads’ folder. Click ‘Open’.

Click on ‘OK’ in the ‘Change Icon’ pop up and again in the ‘Properties’ dialogue box. Then you’ll see the customized icon on your desktop background.

For PC Users Using Edge

Go to the website using Edge on your PC desktop. Again, we’re going to PassWizard.com/login/ as an example.

Click the three dots in the top right corner. Select ‘More Tools’ and then select ‘Pin to Start’.

Then, click on ‘Start’ in the bottom left of your bottom navigation bar and you’ll see the shortcut at the top under ‘Recently added’. Drag and drop the icon from ‘Start’ to your desktop background. Then, you’ll see it as a desktop shortcut.

For PC Users Using Firefox

Go to the website using Firefox on your PC desktop. Again, we’re going to PassWizard.com/login/ as an example.

Click and hold the lock icon located on the left of the URL and drag it to your desktop background. After letting go of the mouse, you’ll see a new desktop shortcut.

While there are many apps out there, if there’s a site you frequent when you’re on your iPhone, you may want a way to get to it faster. The best way to do that is by adding the website to your phone’s home screen. Let’s use the site for our password manager, Pass Wizard, as an example

Tap on the share icon.

AES-256 Encryption: The Strongest Encryption Standard

With cybercrime continually increasing, security measures tighten for products that store and manage sensitive customer information. When looking closer, you’ll see many of them boast the term “AES-256 encryption” in the description. AES-256 encryption, simply put, is a symmetrical encryption standard that secures sensitive information by scrambling it completely. It’s now become standard practice to use AES-256 encryption to secure personal data because of how secure it is.

To scramble data, it divides the data into blocks, replaces different bytes, shifts rows, and mixes columns. AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) refers to the encryption algorithm, while 256 refers to the key length size. It’s considered the gold standard in encryption because of how hard it is to crack. Even federal government entities like the National Security Agency (NSA) use AES-256 to encrypt sensitive government information.

How It’s Safer Than Alternatives

AES-256 encryption has a longer key length than other options, which makes it harder to crack. And possible key combinations only increase along with key size. To put this in perspective, a hacker would need to try out 2,256 different combinations of 78 digits to break through the encryption. So, with that in mind, it’s no surprise that it’s nearly impossible for successful brute attack attempts.

Examples of AES-256 in Use

With AES-256 being the strongest encryption standard, many devices, applications, and networks use it to encrypt data. In fact, many modern computers already have AES instructions built into them, specifically those that use Intel or AMD processors.
