If you use iPhone or iPad, now you can get Microsoft WORD, EXEL and POWERPOINT for free. Those are not just viewers, you can use them to edit the file (I head it is limited in functions).

Very cold morning
Today is the closest morning this winter. The golf course has issued the frost delay until 9:30am this morning. I walked dogs near by park. They don't seem to mind the clod weather.

Mac OS X Lion

Mac OS X Lion
My Mac pro can not be upgraded to the latest operating system from Apple. It is frozen at 10.7.5 which is called Mac OS X Lion. My MacBook pro is now the later Yosemite.

Comparing those tow, Mac OS X Lion boots up faster, shut down faster, loads application as last as Yosemite. Mac Mail is much more stable with Mac OS X Lion. With Mac OS X Lion, everything just works better.

I am keeping Mac OS X Lion for a while.

Clean Buses and Taxis in Japan

Clean Buses and Taxis in Japan Clean Buses and Taxis in Japan Clean Buses and Taxis in Japan
Buses and taxies in Japan are very clean and well maintained. Of of the resin is the fact that the drivers are responsible for cleaning the vehicles they drive before and after their shifts. When I look at buses in the US, their wheels are dirty but in Japan even wheels are cleaned.

I guess the job descriptions of the driver does not include cleaning the car.

- Pickup the phone when it rings
- Pickup the trash if you see one
- Open a door of someone needs help
- Clean your desk when you leave
- Add paper when the printer is out of paper

You need to be good to others without being written in the job description.

I have about there hours to kill here.
I finished my first leg of the way back to Seattle.
I am waiting at the Korean Airline's Business Class Lounge at Incheon, Korea.
It is a big airport with hundreds of flights everyday.
It has became a true hub of Asia.

Here is something I thought that was interesting.

Tokyo has about 13 million people ... that is about 11 or 12% of Japanese population.
Seoul has little over 10 million people ... that is 25% of all Korean people.
