カイくん、おめでとう㊗️
昨日は息子が志願していたハワイ大学合格通知が彼にEメールで届けられました。
他の志願校がある中で最終的な決定はまだ先ですが、彼の望みが1つ担保されたことを共に喜びました。
いつもの山道を歩きながらどうしてハワイ大学に行きたいのか聞いてみました。
「だって、こうして山道トレッキングができたり、海で泳いだり、サーフィンだって毎日できから、、、、」
なるほどなるほど〜
長く雨空の続く冬季に「ハワイに行きたーい」と何度も漏らしていたね。これで季節性鬱の危険性と隣り合わせのノースウェストを脱出して、夢の世界に一年中住むことができると言うわけなんだ。たいした作戦だ。
彼の優れた先見性と戦術性は、最近私と始めるようになった将棋から訓練されたものでしょうかね？
トレッキングの後、私の角行抜きで手合わせを1番。先回は余裕で勝ったのに今回は負かされてしまいました。

Yesterday, my son received his acceptance letter for the University of Hawaii via email.
He has yet to make a final decision as he has other schools to get accepted to, but we were both happy to know that one of his hope have been secured.
As we walked along our usual mountain path, I asked him why he wanted to go to the University of Hawaii.
He said, "Because I can go trekking in the mountains like this, swim in the ocean, and surf even every day. 、、、、

During the long, rainy winter months, he has been saying "I want to go to Hawaii" over and over again.
This way, he can escape the Northwest, where we are in danger of seasonal depression, and live in his dream world all year round. It's a great plan.

After the trekking, we had a match without my Kakugyo. I won last time with a comfortable margin, but this time I was beaten.
