This is "Sparrow Breakfast, Part 2."
It’s breeding season for the sparrows, and fledglings that have just learned to fly are
coming to feed with their mothers.
Young sparrows can be identified by the lack or scarcity of black feathers on the upper
part of their chests.
They also have a distinctive yellow coloring around their beaks.
Since their grip with their feet is still weak, they can’t hold onto the thin edge of the
feeding dish and end up stepping inside it to eat.
Although they’re already capable of eating on their own, they sometimes still receive
food directly from the mother bird.
They’re also less responsive to changes in their surroundings—while the others fly
away, the young ones often remain behind, dazed and unaware.
