I shipped my suitcase to the hotel in Tokyo from my home. It is over 300 miles. Do you know the cost of this service???

I paid 1,370yen (about US$17). Don't you think that is cheap? I also ship my golf bag when I play golf. It costs about $35 round trip anywhere in Japan. This is one service FedEx can't match in Japan.

Over or Under the Ground

In Japan, much of power and data are delivered to homes and businesses via over the ground wirings. Although, it may not look good, it provides two advantages over underground wiring.

(1) It is cheaper to deliver
(2) It is cheaper and faster to fix

It is very common to see a view like this in Japan.

This is what I like about my city in Japan. Ashiya is set between mountains and ocean. I got to see a beautiful sunset.

Very Cold Morning in Japan

It is -3C (or 26.5F) this morning in Ashiya Japan. I will stay in Ashiya this week and move to Tokyo this weekend. I am booked on the flight to go back to Seattle on Wednesday.

Is it still called in Seattle as well?
Looking at temperature, it looks like a good weather there.
