It is a cloudy morning in Tokyo. It is 4:30 in the morning and the current temperature is about 70° and we are expecting to be up to 77° this afternoon. I will be playing golf today so I hope it will not rain like it did yesterday. This is my second morning in Tokyo. I will be traveling to Taiwan tomorrow.

I have a live in Tokyo yesterday night and checked into the hotel. This morning the hotel Internet went out and I'm using my Wi-Fi to connect to the Internet. It is raining today.

 

 

 

Today, I received an email in my mailbox claiming that my iCloud storage was full. The message stated that I had 50 GB for free. However, I have a 2 TB storage plan with Apple, so I realized that this was impossible, and understood that this was a phishing email. If you receive such an email, please do not click on any links in the email. Instead, if you are concerned, check your storage directly by going to iCloud. If your storage password is compromised through a phishing email, various information stored there could be exposed, leading to other potential issues. Please be cautious.

 

今日、私のメールボックスにこんなメールが届きました。iCloudのストレージがいっぱいだと言うメッセージでしたが、50 GB無料と書いてありました。ただ私はアップルのストレージは2テラバイト思っているのでこんな事はありえないと言うことがわかったので、これはフィッシングメールだということがわかりました。 皆様もこのようなメールが来た場合はメールのリンクではなく、不安な場合は実際にiCloudに行って容量を確認してみてください。フィッシングメールでストレージのパスワードがばれてしまうとそこにおさまっているいろいろな情報がばれてしまい他の障害が出てくる場合がありますので気をつけてください。

 

 

I'm flying out to Japan today. I'll first be in Tokyo for a few meetings. Then, on June 2nd, I'll head to Taiwan to attend COMPUTEX 2024, a computer-related trade show that starts on June 4th. This will be my first time back at COMPUTEX since 2019, and I'm very excited to see how it has changed over the past five years. COMPUTEX features many exhibits centered around computer hardwares, but there’s plenty for us software companies to learn about in terms of the latest trends.

After COMPUTEX, I’ll travel to the Kansai region on June 6th, then back to Tokyo on the 11th, and finally return to Seattle on the 13th. It’s going to be a hectic and exciting two weeks. This will be my second international business trip from the US this year. While I'm not very familiar with Taiwan, I’ve noticed that Japan feels quite affordable right now due to the weak yen, especially compared to prices in the US.

I thought the student loan forgiveness was stopped by the Supreme Court, saying it is not within the President's power to do so. However, it seems like it is still going on. In total, Biden has forgiven over $100 billion dollars. I have no problem if this money was paid by Biden, but it is paid by all the taxpayers' money. How about people who paid the college tuition to make sure their child does not have a loan to pay back? Can we get that money back? Of course not. This is not right. He has no right to spend my money to give it away to people who elected to have a student loan. I am really, really not happy about this. Don't waste our tax money.

 

 

College Degree is not a path to higher wages ... it is just a pass to open an entry door!
