Autumn flavors are found at Japanese grocery store.
When these are on the shelves, you can feel the autumn season in full swing.
When I was in Japan, I never ate matsutake mushrooms because they were too expensive.
Now, with the strong yen and weak dollar, the gap in food prices between Japan and the U.S. has widened about three times more expensive in the U.S.
However, matsutake mushrooms are probably still cheaper to buy in the US.
Japanese prices are crazy.
