東京もシアトルも春爛漫

歩けなくなって1週間が経ちました。
室内にこもっていては鬱になるので、
明るいお日様を求めて
近くの公園に行ってみました。
すっかり春の陽気となっていて
気温は摂氏21度まで上がってます。
ほぼ東京と同じ気温。
近所の子供たちが1周150メートルほどの円周を
ぐるぐると自転車で走り回っています。
競争してるのでもない
何か目的があるのでもない
ただ走り回るだけ。
それが楽しいんですよね。
大人になったとき、
目的や意味がなければ行動しなくなったように思います。
もうか儲かるから、
認められるから、
褒められるから働こうとか。
子供は走るのが楽しいので走る。
最近私は
そんな時間こそ
実は最高の時間なんだと値踏みしている。
私もいつかは、そんな生き方を取り戻してみたい。
It's been a week since I couldn't walk.
Staying indoors is making me depressed.
I went to a nearby park in search of bright sunshine.
The weather was completely spring-like.
The temperature was up to 21 degrees Celsius.
Almost the same temperature as today’s Tokyo.
Children in the neighborhood were running around in circles of about 150-meter on their bicycles.
It's not a race.
There is no purpose to it.
They're just running around.
That's what makes it fun, right?
When we grow up.
I don't think we act without a purpose or meaning.
We work because we can make more money,
because we will be recognized,
because we will be praised.
Children run because it's fun.
Recently,
I've been thinking that such time is actually the best time.
I would like to regain that way of life someday.
