It's been raining here in Seattle for the past few days, and the smoke from the wildfires a week ago has been cleared away.It rained so hard that I felt unsafe while driving, especially about an hour south of Seattle two days ago.
Thanks to this, the air has cleared up and the sunsets have been spectacular.
The lockdown in San Francisco was lifted last week and the stores are now able to hold half of their allowable capacity.
But my friend tells me that people aren't going into the city for fear of getting infected, and it's as quiet as ever.
So, all the retailers are only seeing about 10-20% of their customers, not even half.
It seems that the fog of fear that has been hanging over people's minds is still a long way off.
