We have only few hours left in this year.
The chemo Pompom had yesterday did not effect him at all.
He slept and ate well today.
I am very happy to Pompom with us at the end of the year.
This year has not been a good year for Pompom but he made it.
I am here!
Pompom just completed his 7th chemotherapy this morning. Today's chemo was an oral application which is the same as what he got the first time. This one worked well with very little or no side effect.
Next Saturday morning will be his 8th and final weekly chemotherapy. After that it will be biweekly. Doctor was really happy see this progress and told me that she gain her belief in the medicines now because of Pompom. I am very happy to hear this.
I think Pompom will make it to 2018. That would have been unthinkable 46 days ago.
Spending time with Tiny is the best treatment!
Today is the last work day of 2017. It has been a long year for Pompom. He started with teeth surgery, then inguinal hernia surgery. On top of that he was diagnosed with lymphoma and started chemo 45 days ago.
We did not think he is going to make it to 2018. We are very happy to have him with us. He will have last chemo of 2017 tomorrow. I will have him eat what he likes today.
Thank you all for warm and caring words for Pompom. He is here and we will fight this sickness as long as we can.
The snow we had on Christmas-Eve had been melted and the temperature is almost to 50 degree this morning. It is a very quest week as most businesses are closed for the year.
Pompom will have one more chemo this Saturday. We did not think he will make it to his birthday on November 28 just a month ago. Considering what he had gone through, he is doing remarkably well.
He is eating well and walking longer than a month ago. He and his best friend, Tiny, sleeps almost all day nowadays. But knowing both of them are over 15 years old, that is to be expected. I just hope they both has healthy, suffering free, lest of their lives.
I am here!
Pompom sleeps a lot. He sleeps almost all day and night. That is same for Tiny. It is sad to see very active dogs turn very inactive. But I think that is the result of aging.
Pompom shows the symptoms of Choking, Cough and Gagging sometime (not very often). The incidents have decreased quite a bit but he still does those. Those things remind me that he is still fighting his Lymphoma.
I really hope he stays healthy. Tiny too.
6 weeks has passed since we started Pompom on chemotherapy. We are very happy to have Pompom with us.
It started snow on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The snow has subsided but there are still snow on the ground. This morning Tiny and Pompom and Nano walked a nearby park.
We hope Tiny and Pompom both have more time with us. But they are doing well for being over 15. Keep up the good work.
Because today is Christmas, the Summit Vet is closed today. So, we are not having chemo treatment today, Next one will be this Saturday. Pompom is fully recovered from the treatment and eating and sleeping well.
Merry Christmas Everyone!
I walked with Pompom from my house to Factoria Mall (It’s called The Market Place at Factoria). This was little over a mile. Pompom had not problem walking. That is a good thing.
Thank you all for you thought.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and Merry Christmas.
Some time you do thing without thinking because that is the only right thing to do.
