(1) To show appreciation to out staff for maintaining our Internet services from our office in Bellevue.
(2) To support local restaurants during this time.

Our business cannot operate without our people. There is no meaning for us to exist if there is no small companies. So we take care both.

Equivalent Exchange

I would like to talk about the equivalence exchange that I wrote about in my blog on May 7th, which cannot be used in business. Equivalent exchange is used in the anime "Fullmetal Alchemist". I believe that the principle is that in order to create something you want, you need to lose the equivalent amount of something else.

Suppose a business sells a product called “A” for $10. From the consumer's point of view, it can be said that A and $10 are equally valuable.

However, when you look closely at the breakdown of $10:

R & D Expenses

Manufacturing Costs

Raw Material Costs

Transportation / Logistics

Marketing Costs

Profit

The above items make up $10. Therefore, you can see that the value of product “A” is a collection of things that cannot be seen. If you don't sell “A”, then think about disposing of it. Now imagine that the sales price is $5. In this case, the price of “A" will be half before and during the sale. We now have to say that “A” = “A” is no longer true.

Business practices are not an equivalent exchange. A product cannot be sold unless the consumer always feels they are receiving more value than the equivalent exchange. So how do we accomplish making one product more valuable? That can only be accomplished by “Marketing”. This is the conclusion I have reached.

Importance of Tools

Does tools people use make difference in the final products?

I have been using iPhone X for taking photos for few reasons. And those are;

Convenient / I canny iPhone Everywhere Any Way

Easy to use / It can take decent photos

iCloud / It automatically uploads all pictures to iCloud.

Dor most things including Bloguru and social medias, iPhone photos are good enough. But when you take a picture with SLR (Single Lens Reflex) Cameras, I am amazed by the depth of the image I can take.

I should start using SLR cameras more ... but not sinuses trip I am not going to carry SLR camera.

Amazon is Busy on Sunday Delivering

I went to walk at the trail today in Medina and I saw many people today. There are more cars on the road and more people are out and about. Things seem to be getting normal. Also, people are just tired of staying home all day.

Masks

I have ordered 2 cartons (1,800) of masks back in February. I received them late March. Today is May 23 ... We have used about 750 masks until today. We are able to give some to our janitorial service.

I am starting see more masks on sales ... I do not think we need to add more. But we ae very lucky to have this many in stock where was no masks.
