Cancer or Not

I visited the Virginia Mason Seattle clinic today for an update on my liver cancer surgery. There has been a small lesion in my liver that has remained stable for over two years, but doctors still cannot determine if it is cancerous or not. Until this uncertainty is resolved, I cannot move forward to the next step in my treatment. During the visit, I asked my doctor to explore the possibility of performing a biopsy or some type of surgery to finally determine whether the lesion is cancerous.
I also brought up my ongoing headache and stomach issues with my doctor. However, she didn’t seem overly concerned about these symptoms. My primary goal is to get back on the kidney transplant list, but that cannot happen unless I am confirmed to be cancer-free. I will continue to push for a biopsy or further diagnostic tests to clarify the situation.
