Music You Might Like - Cold Chisel

スレッド
Today is Australia Day, so to mark the occasion, here are a couple of songs by a famous Australian band called Cold Chisel. They were huge (= very popular) about 30 years ago. Then they split up.
Then they reformed.
Then split up again.
Then reformed.
Then split up.
Then finally last year they reformed again - Yay! They`re all pretty old now (& the drummer passed away last year), but I still like their music. Mostly it`s hard rock, but you might find these three songs a little easier on the ears:

Choir Girl (1979): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzyDVcnLJ7U

My Baby (1980): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJLy_3LV7K0

Flame Trees (1984): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILd1O44BDqc

Happy Australia Day!

Jimmy Barnes is the lead singer. He has also had a successful solo career. He has a distinctive voice, doesn`t he?

The guitarist, Ian Moss, also sings some Cold Chisel songs (he sings Flame Trees) & had a solo career after they split up. He also has a good voice, I think.

I think they`re all about 56 now.

Do you like the band? And what do you celebrate something in Australia Day?
The video of 'Flame Trees' seems some kind of movie, doesn't it? Do you think it??
Well, I like their music as I listened them on youtube. I feel better listening like this music, unfortunately, I cannot understand the means.

On Australia Day, many people have BBQ parties, or go to outdoor music concerts.

Yes, I like this band. If you want to read the lyrics for the songs, you can find them at this site:

Maybe you have to use your dictionary for some words, but I think you can guess the main meaning of the songs after doing that.
