撮影の生産性をアップ

"I shoot at home almost every day, and this serves as training to quickly and efficiently operate my filming equipment.
Additionally, I make efforts to set up the equipment reliably in a short amount of time.
As I often engage in TimeLapse video shooting, the camera needs to be completely stable.
While I typically use a tripod, in cases where the camera is lightweight or when using
an ultra-wide-angle lens, it is necessary to bring the camera forward to prevent unwanted elements from appearing in the frame.
In such situations, a tripod is unsuitable, so I use a fixed device similar to the one shown in the photo.
It allows for easy attachment and detachment, improving overall productivity."

私は毎日のように自宅で撮影をしています、これは撮影機材を如何に素早く確実に操作する
ためのトレーニングです。
加えて、機材の設置を確実に短時間に行うことに工夫をしています。
TimeLapsVideo撮影が多いのでカメラ完全固定となります。
通常は三脚を使いますが、カメラが軽い場合や、超広角の場合には周囲の映り込みを
防ぐためにカメラを最前に出すことが必要となります。この場合、三脚は不向きなため
写真のような固定器具を使います。簡単に着脱が出来、生産性が向上します。

"There are no large clouds on the horizon, but it's a slightly hazy dawn.
The outside temperature is 5°C, and after an hour of shooting, holding the tripod feels
really cold.

It seems that the camera's heat dissipation is improved, as the battery consumption is
lower than in summer.

Today is a full moon, and it's the last week of November.
The sunrise time is still getting later, but the sunset time has hit its low point. In early
December, it will start to reverse, marking the onset of full-fledged winter."

地平線に大きな雲はありませんが、やや霞のある夜明けです。
外気温は5℃、1時間の撮影の後、三脚を持つと本当に冷たく感じます。
カメラは放熱が良くなるのか電池の消耗が夏よりも減少しているようです。

今日は満月、そして11月の最終週になります、日の出時刻はまだ遅くなりますが、
日没時刻は底となり、12月初旬には反転しますが、その頃から本格的な冬の訪れに
なります。

Stars Trail(2023.11.25)

Tonight, with a moon age of approximately 11.7, close to a full moon, the moonlight is
strong, making it difficult to identify stars with the naked eye.
However, with LiveComp photography, it is possible to capture the trajectories of stars.
Using an OM-D E1 with an 18mm lens, set at F5.6 for 2.5 seconds per exposure, engage
LiveComp mode for a total duration of 90 minutes.

今夜は満月に近い月齢11.7、月光が強く肉眼では星の確認が困難な状態ですが、
LiveComp撮影ならどうにか星の軌跡の捕捉が出来ます。

"Clear skies, temperature at 8°C – winter has finally arrived.
Today, I plan to head to the mountains, a place I couldn't visit last week.
For photography, I'll be using the Fuji GFX-50S2 with a Pentax 645 35mm lens attached
using a conversion adapter.
Since autofocus doesn't work, I'll manually focus, which I find more convenient.
Looking forward to capturing the beauty of the winter landscape."

The main difference in operation between video shooting and still photography lies in
the focus settings.
For still photography, once the focus is set, it generally remains unchanged.
However, in the case of video, frequent adjustments to the focus may be necessary
depending on the subject.

While automatic focus is an option, there are instances where intentional changes to
the focus point are required, necessitating manual control.
In such cases, operability becomes crucial.

Photography involves the use of lenses specifically designed for video (cinema lenses)
and a focus dial.
Cinema lenses come with a pre-engraved focus ring, and it seamlessly matches with
the gears on the focus dial from the outset.

Video撮影とスチール撮影の操作で異なるのはフォーカスの設定です。スチールは一旦設定
すれば、それでOKですが、Videoの場合には被写体によっては撮影中フォーカスの変更が
時として頻繁に発生します。
自動焦点の場合もありますが、意図してフォーカスポイントを変更する場合には手動と
なり、その場合には操作性が要求されます。
写真はVideo専用のレンズ（シネレンズ）とフォーカスダイヤルです、シネレンズには
最初からローレットが刻んであり、フォーカスダイヤルの歯車とピッタリ合います。

OLDレンズを使う

I am currently using a Pentax 645 lens that I used over 20 years ago on my GFX-50S2.
Despite being a 35mm lens, it provides a wide field of view and excellent image quality.
Since lens conversion adapters are relatively inexpensive, having old lenses can
significantly enhance the value of a camera in this class.

GFX-50S2に、20年以上前に使っていたPentax645のレンズを装着しています。
35mmですが画角が広く画質もしっかりしています。
レンズ変換アダプターは比較的安価であるためOLDレンズがあれば、このクラスのカメラは
価値が倍増します。

The built-in battery of the GoPro has a small capacity and may not withstand extended periods of filming.

For shoots lasting beyond 3 hours, an external battery is employed. It is attached to a dedicated base on a tripod and powered via USB.

GoProの内蔵バッテリーは容量が小さくて長時間撮影には耐えられません。

Time-Lapsなどで撮影が3時間を越える場合には外付けのバッテリーを使用します。

干し柿は最終となりました

During the process of making dried persimmons, we can produce over 100 using this drying machine.
Set the temperature of the dryer to 40°C.

Peel the persimmons, leaving small pieces around the stem, as the stems will be removed later.
Repeat the repositioning (front to back, top to bottom) during the first 5 hours.

After 24 hours of drying, remove the stems and cut off any remaining skin around
the persimmons.

Continue drying for an additional 24 hours or more until the persimmons become
soft. Hand-knead the softened fruits.

Allow the persimmons to dry for another approximately 24 hours, checking their
condition. Remove the completed ones from the dryer.

干し柿を作成中、この乾燥機で100個以上作ることが出来ます。
乾燥機の温度は40℃に設定、
1：皮を剥きます、ヘタの部分は後で取るので、細かな部分は残してOK
　　最初の5時間は位置（前後・棚の上下）を繰り返します
2：24時間乾燥後、ヘタを除去し、周辺に残った皮もカットします。
3：更に24時間以上乾燥、柔らかくなった個体から手もみします。
4：更に24時間程度乾燥し、状態を見て完了の個体を取り出します。

各務原山系での熊の出没

ここも私にホームグラウンドの各務原遺産の森界隈です。
写真でわかるように、ここも鳩吹山系と同じように周囲の山とは隔絶しており、猪の個体
数は多いのですが、鹿も熊も見かけません。
絶対とは言いきれませんが、繁殖のための個体絶対数があるとは思えず、出没情報も
無いので、この山系には熊はいないと思われます。
数キロ北には岐阜の深山につながる里山がありますが、平野でその間に存在し、人家も
多いので、迷い込む可能性はゼロでありませんが、繁殖のための個体数が、ここに移動
するとは考えにくいのです。

On weekend nights, the traffic on National Route 22 dramatically decreases in the late hours.
To capture the atmosphere, I took a photo with an F16 aperture, ISO400, and a 10-
second exposure.

MATTE-BOX（撮影用フード）セットアップの工夫

MATTE-BOXにもメーカー間で差異があります、厄介なのは15mmシャフトからセンター
までの距離に違いがあることです、これは調整可能ですが、最低距離が違うため
撮影機材にとって「下駄」を履かせなかればなりません。
Video専用機だけなら良いのですが、私は通常のカメラをVideo と兼用で使うため
この「下駄」の問題で悩みます。
都度、付け替えれば良いのですが、複数の撮影機を決まった三脚で使用するのは面倒
です。
と、言うのはVideo雲台にはマンフロットベース、スチール雲台にはアルカスイスベース
を使っているのです。
このためVideo雲台の場合には、変換プレート（マンフからアルカ）を使って下駄を
履かせているからです。
最終的には、マンフのベースに15mmのベースをはめ、更に15mmベースにマンフの
ベースを更に載せ、アルカが必要の場合には変換プレートはかませるなどで対応して
います。

尾張山系での熊の出没

The Hato-buki mountain range, which is one of my favorite hiking destinations, is
separated from the Kasugai mountain range by residential areas.
The only connection between them is the top of the Meitetsu Hiromi Line tunnel.
Even though there is a small area that can be traversed, it poses a risk of passing
through a golf course, so it is unlikely that large wild animals can intrude from the
Kasugai mountain range.
While it is essential to remain vigilant, even if there are accurate bear sightings around
the Irigaike area, it is believed to be difficult for them to infiltrate into the Hato-buki
mountain range from that specific location.

私の山行のホームグランドの一つである鳩吹山系は、春日井山系とは住宅地等で
遮られており、唯つの結合部分は名鉄広見線のトンネル上部のみで、この矮小な地帯

猛暑が長引いたせいか、柿の成熟は良かったのですが、干し柿には暑さは大敵なので
売れ行きが悪かったようです。今日から最後の収穫品を干し柿加工します。

ヘッドホーンのメンテナンス

長年使用している、ゼンハイザーのノイキャンのヘッドホーンのイヤーパッドの交換を
しました。
パーツは純正ではなく社外品（中華製）を購入、例によって説明書は無し、意味不明な
「工具」らしきものが付属していましたが、使用方法は不明（よくあることです）
交換部品をチェック、取り外した部品等を見れば、交換方法は思いつくものです。

弊社のサポートには、説明書に無い、どうやるのか等の問合せがよく来ますが、
少し考えればわかりそうなのに、まるで小学生のような話が多いのです。

電源ON/OFFの遅延装置

ラックの中間にあるのが、電源のON/OFFの遅延装置。
電源を同時にONにすると、AMPからSPに電源ON時の「ボッ」音が出力され、最悪の
場合、SPがダメになるので、この防止のためAMPの電源を数秒遅延して投入する装置です。
中古で売りに出されていたので購入。

This morning is clear with not a single cloud in the sky, and I could see the crescent
moon in the eastern horizon during dawn.
Orion was shining brightly in the western sky.

I have been drying about 100 persimmons that I harvested last Sunday using a machine.
As of this morning, the drying time has exceeded 40 hours, so I will check the level of
dryness and proceed with handwork.

今朝は快晴、雲一つありません、下限の月が明け方に東の空に見ることができます。
西にはオリオンが輝いていました。

私は、先週の日曜日に収穫した柿、約100個を機械で乾燥しています。
今朝で乾燥時間は40時間を超えます、乾燥具合を見て、手もみ作業を行います。

MATTE-BOX（撮影用フード）

①はアルカスイスベース
②は15mmパイプベース
③はマンフロットプレート

Video撮影時、照明灯の光がレンズに差し込まないようにするフードを、MATTE-BOXと呼びます。
この手の機材は、スタジオのみならず、外での仕事のために分解・組み立てが簡単に
する工夫がなされています。

基本的に工具類は無しでの組み立て・分解が基本となります。
問題はカメラの固定です、まず三脚の上の雲台はVideo用は、私はマンフロットです。
このためマンフロットのプレートを15mmハイプベースに取り付け、このベースが
ワンタッチで雲台に取り付けれるようにします。
このベースにカメラ用にアルカスイスを使用するので、アルカスイス用のベースを
取り付けます、これでカメラは一発で固定出来ます。
MAT-BOXとレンズの先端の位置合わせは、MAT-BOXの縦移動でアジャストします。
カメラによって高さが合わないMAT-BOXの場合には①と②の間にチーズプレートを入れます。

The weather is on the decline, with clouds moving north.
Yesterday, I harvested persimmons, working in unusually hot weather for November.
Today, in between work, I have to peel persimmons and prepare them for drying.

天気は下り坂、雲が北に流れています。
私は昨日は柿の収穫、11月としては異様な暑さの中での作業。
今日は、仕事の合間に柿の皮を剥いて干し柿の準備をしなければなりません。

倶留尊山（Kuroso)トレッキング(2023.11.04)

一宮をAM5：15Start、名阪経由で上野IC、ここから南下、赤目四十八滝方面へ、途中から
名張を過ぎたら曽爾高原へ、青蓮寺ダムの湖畔を抜け曽爾高原の有料駐車所湯へ。
ここがスタート、亀池を巡るコースからは名物のススキの草原が。ここは丸太の階段、
これを過ぎて稜線に上がり、岩場を連続を登ると二本ボソ（996ｍ）、ここで入山料五百円
を支払い、倶留尊山に向かう。
ここからが大変、倶留尊山は1037ｍ、40ｍの差しかないが、ここから一旦80m下り、更に
120ｍ登る、復路はこの逆。
倶留尊山は1037ｍで駐車場は700ｍなので、大したことは無いと思ってかかると、結構
手強い。300ｍの標高差だが、実踏は985ｍでアップダウンがるので結構疲れる。
おまけにおおきな花崗岩のゴロタ石の岩場が多く、スキーで痛めた左の膝が、この高さの
上りには力が入らず、やたら手を使っての上りで脈拍は上がってしまい、結構難儀した。
かなり歩き辛いコース。

朝食の準備

The day before, I prepare dried shiitake mushrooms, kombu (seaweed), and dried small
fish by soaking them in water.

I wasn't able to do this during the summer, but starting around October when the
room temperature has dropped, I've been making dashi (Japanese soup stock) with
these ingredients every morning.

First, I take out the dried shiitake mushrooms and slice them. Meanwhile, I heat a pot
to just before boiling.
I remove the kombu, discard the dried small fish, and add the sliced shiitake
mushrooms to the pot while replenishing the water.
I add deep-fried tofu, mushrooms, and vegetables, and bring it to a boil.
This forms the base for the dashi.

前日に、冬菇、昆布、煮干しを水に入れて準備しておきます。
夏の間は出来ませんでしたが、室温が下がってきた10月ごろからは、毎朝これで
出汁を作っています。
最初に冬菇は取り出してスライス、その間に鍋を沸騰手前の温度で加熱。
昆布を引き出し、煮干しを除去し、そこに冬菇を入れ、水を補充します。
油揚げ、きのこ、野菜を加えて煮立てれば、ベースの出来上がり。

1000Base-Tと1000Base-TX

AIMさんのHPより拝借

1Gから10Gへの移行が始まっているが、メタルでの10Gは様々な問題があり、コスト面でも
苦しいのが実情。
その大きな要因が伝送方式にある。
メタルは100Baseから1000Baseに移行する段階で、今から思うと大きな「失敗」があった、
100baseは100Base-TXと呼ばれる、送信／受信をそれぞれ別の回線で行う方法だった、
8本4対のうち、1-2と3-6のみを使用しての通信で、伝送機器の負荷も少なく理想的な方法
と言える。
1000Baseも1000Base-TXでの展開と予想していたら、ケーブルの伝送帯域が500MHzが必須
となることに業界は難色を示し始めた。
当時のメタルはCat5eで500MHzの伝送性能は無く、300MHzが限界とされていた、このため
300MHzでの伝送が可能となる、1000Base-Tが採用となる。この方式は250MHzで送信／
受信を切り替えて同じ回線で行う方式で、ケーブルの負荷は少ないが伝送機器（Switch）
には過大な負荷が必要となる、これはDSPを使用しての仕様であるため、当時のGigaHUBは
4ポート程度でも多大な発熱があり「目玉焼きが出来る」と当時は感じた。その後チップの
改良があり、この発熱も低減はしたがこのDSPを使う仕様は、その後に大きな禍根を残した
今それが10Gの不安定要因となって露呈している。
10GBaseは10Gbase-TでTXではない、XXXBAse-TとXXXBase-TXは残念なことに全く互換性
はなく、1000Base-TXは試作機の段階で消えた、私はこれは一番の失敗だと今でも思う。
