On Saturday I taught a student who has a glass-blowing studio in a small town north-west of Gifu City called Ibi.
I went riding around there a few years ago, & afterwards did this woodblock print (10x16cm). I wonder if he recognises this place?
If you have the chance, I recommend a visit - it`s peaceful & scenic, with a nice river. You can get there by train from Ogaki (it`s the last station on the line).
It seems like Tohge-no-Chaya, Restaurant in pass, in Edo period. I like it.
So, did you try the glass-blowing when you went there? I've only watched it at somewhere in Shinsyu. You would make a nice glass-blowing thing if you would do it.
I have a lot of hobbies & interests, and I`ll be writing about some of them on this blog. If you enjoy what you read, please leave a comment. I`ll try to use simple English so even if you`re not confident about reading English, I think you can understand. Thanks for visiting my blog!
