This evening we launched an update for the new skin which should resolve many of the user reported issues including:
1) RSS links to blog posts now
2) Links added to the top to return to your own blog when visiting others
3) Several styling updates
4) Button added to buddy blog list to view past week
5) Buddy list urls now using the new url format if the user is using the new skin as well.

There have been several user reported issues with the latest skin and we are actively working to resolve these issues. Here is what we are currently working on:
1) Notification emails have blank post titles
2) Permalink has comment reply form
3) Japanese comments double post
4) Buddy list is slow to load
5) Recent comment list has old comments sometimes.
6) Typo in site notification
7) Some blogs reporting spam
8) Buddy blogs needs "display all" button
NOTE: some users have reported high hit counts with the new skin. There is a flaw in the older skins which reduce the count - the new skin with higher counts is the more accurate reading.

We are proud to release a new skin for bloguru called "deRed". This skin is built on an entirely new engine that is designed to be search engine friendly. While this is still in beta testing, we encourage bloguru users to try the skin and let us know what you think. As always, if you find any issues with it, please let us know. It is still in testing and we are actively working to resolve any issues.

Today we deployed the Bloguru Social Map which allows users to add their locations to a global map.
Upon deployment, several issues were identified by our testers. We decided to rollback the feature until these issues have been resolved.
Please look for this feature to be re-released in the near future.
Today we have removed 10 accounts from inactive users on bloguru. Just as a reminder, you need to make at least one (1) post per year to stay with bloguru.

Bloguru was updated this afternoon with a solution to a user reported issue regarding how RSS feeds were being displayed in Firefox. If you are experiencing display issues with your RSS feed in Firefox, rebuild your feed and try again. To rebuild your RSS feed, simply make a new post, edit an existing post, or delete a post.

Bloguru has taken its first steps toward search engine optimization. This morning bloguru was updated to auto generate a site map daily with links to each users blog. Search engines use these site maps to better crawl bloguru and index your blog.
Additionally, all redirects that were previously a code 302 (temporarily redirect) have been moved to 301 (moved permanently). This will also help when search engines attempt to index bloguru.
