staff埼玉県秩父市出身で1945年の沖縄戦で戦死した、旧日本陸軍伍長関根彰さん＝当時（33）＝の日章旗が1日、遺族に返還された。長男の竹一さん（83）は秩父市で開かれた式典で、「大変驚いている。額に入れて大事に飾りたい」と涙ながらに話した。多くの寄せ書きと「祈武運長久」の墨の色はあせず、41年の出征時に贈られて以来約82年ぶりに故郷へ戻った。 日本遺族会によると、日章旗は米オクラホマ州に住むシャロン・ヒュールズマンさんの家族が戦地から持ち帰ったもので、戦没者の遺品返還活動をしている米NPOに申し出があったという。今年3月、日本遺族会に照会があり、返還が実現した。https://news.yahoo...
