Taxi in Japan
Taxi must be licensed by the government and when the cab and cab driver is licensed, they receive green license plate. If you get on the taxi cab with white license plate, it is an unlicensed cab. It is called SHIRO-TAKU (White Taxi) and it is illegal.
That is one of the reason why you see no UBER or LYFT in Japan. You cannot operate Taxi or Ride Share without government license and the fares are highly regulated as well. No you know how to spot a taxi cab in Japan.

Ninja 忍者
Ninja was pretty unique person.
They sneaked into an enemy as spay and assassinated.
They didn't fight squarely with an enemy.
They are said that we could run on the water and use fire with freedom, but we are not sure...
In Japan, people made many anime which is related to Ninja.
By the way, Today is called "Ninja's Day".

Japanese Calligraphy
The Japanese calligraphy called shodo is one of the most sophisticated arts in Japan.
These days, most Japanese usually use pencils or ballpoints to write letters and other documents. But the Japanese calligraphy, where an ink-dipped brush is used artistically to create Japanese-kanji and Japanese-kana characters, remains a traditional part of Japan’s culture.
As an example, Japanese students learn the basics of calligraphy in penmanship classes during the elementary school.
On top of that, at the beginning of year Japanese write calligraphy known as kakizome, where they create calligraphic works symbolizing their wishes and hopes for the new year.
