2. Sharing food: In Japan, sometimes, we’ll share a single dish like hotpot. When sharing food with others, use the chopsticks provided for sharing instead of using your own.
3. Making noise: It’s okay to make noise while eating noodles like soba or udon noodles. However, avoid talking with the food in your mouth.
4. Conversation: Avoid loud conversations when eating out at restaurants.
5. "Itadakimasu" and "Gochisosama": Say "itadakimasu" when you start eating and "gochisosama" when you finish eating.
6. Holding the bowl: When eating rice served in a bowl, lift the bowl.
7. Tipping: No matter how much you like the service, avoid tipping at a restaurant.
