In 2013, we will be converting all our ClockLink clocks to HTML 5 instead of Flash. This is a huge undertaking but it will allow our clock to work on Windows 7 and 8 and iOS and IE 10.

Problem accessing ClockLink

Due to the http://www.ocn.ne.jp backbone network problem, http://www.clocklink.com service were inaccessible from Japan from 8:00am to 10:00am Japan Standard Time.

This was nothing to do with ClockLink servers or services.

That was not an attack!!!

The incident that we thought was a Denial of Service (DoS) attack might not been DoS attack after all. After careful review of the log, we have found one of our clock user's site on Blog was accessed many million times causing serge of clock requests to http://www.clocklink.com that slowed our network.

We already having more than several thousands simultaneous sessions any given moment, but we have never experienced 100 times the sessions. We are very sorry that incident may have caused some clock non-display at your site.

When we say we have reached over 30 million clock views for a day, what is that mean?

It means, in total, ClockLink clocks were displayed on some web page 30 million times in 24 hour period. We seem to be hovering around 30 million on weekdays and 25 million on weekends. The graph above shows the daily view count of the clocks.
