This morning we updated Bloguru to resolve user reported issues of duplicated posts from editing. In addition to this, there was an update to the keyword search in order to paginate the results. If you experience any issues with this update or with Bloguru in general please let us know.

New feature added

This morning we added a new comment moderation feature along with several other updates which include:

- Use of the Bloguru aggregator on the main page
- Top ranked blogs extended from 15 to 25
- New warning on file uploads (uploaded files will overwrite files of the same name)
- Several security issues have been addressed

During this morning scheduled update, we ran into several issues of which we were unable to resolve in a timely manner. As a result we have restored Bloguru to its previous state and will launching a full investigation into what went wrong and what we can do to prevent this in the future.

As always, if you notice anything odd with Bloguru please let us know. Thank you for bearing with us as we work to improve the Bloguru experience for all.

Bloguru Feature Addition

As part of our continued effort to improve the Bloguru experience, Bloguru will be going down for maintenance and the addition of the new comment moderation feature on the morning of October 1, 2009.

Issues that presented themselves during last month's premature launch have been resolved and we do not expect to encounter a similar situation.

In addition to the new feature, we are also replacing the "Bloguru News" section on the front page with an aggregated news roll from this blog.

Two Bloguru issues fixed

As of 12:00PM Pacific Time, two issues in Bloguru have been resolved:

1) If you're already buddies with another user, you won't be prompted to add them
2) You can modify or delete your comments on other users' blogs

In our continued effort to make Bloguru better, there will be an update to the system on the morning of 10 Sept 2009. This update is to fix current issues with scheduled posts, timezones, and calendars.

NOTE: This update will affect all posts (past and future) translating the create date to Pacific time. The timezone option in your profile settings will now only affect your Bloguru clock (if you have one.)
