PSP Children's Foundation just received notice that we are officially a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization! Our 501(c)(3) status is backdated to September of last year due to the lengthy approval process, but we are very happy to finally have the process completed.

PSPCF is taking a break this year from our usual activities to plan out where we want to take the foundation and how we can continue to make a difference in the lives of children in the future. If you would like to be a part of our future efforts, please contact info@pspchildrensfoundation.org and visit our website for more information about where we're going and where we've been.

Today is PSPINC's 27th anniversary! Founded on July 7th, 1987 in an apartment on Mercer Island, PSPINC has grown to employ 50 people in four offices over two states. We can't believe how far we've come, and we can't wait to see what the future brings!

Here's a flashback to our 25th anniversary in 2012:

New Mission

New Mission
We fondly remember being busy in preparation for the arrival of 8 students from Tohoku in August this time last year.
Those students, who flew into Seattle with such zest, I wonder how have they grown up.

From this year, PSP Children Foundation will be heading in a new mission and helping children realize their dreams.

Lost & Found Project

スレッド
Lost & Found Project Lost & Found Project
PSPINC received a copy of a book put together by the Lost & Found Project from one of our clients in Los Angeles, and we wanted to share it with all of our readers.

The Lost & Found Project began as "Salvage Memory," a project to recover photographs swept away by the Great Eastern Japan Tsunami on March 11, 2011 and return them to their owners.

Many of the photographs that were found were able to be returned to their families, there were also those which were too badly damaged to be returned. Munemasa Takahashi, a photographer, and Kazuto Hoshi, a resident of Yamamoto, were both involved in "Salvage Memory" and decided to exhibit these damaged photos which would otherwise have been thrown out.

The exhibition they put together has traveled around the world and raised money to help support people in temporary housing and purchase supplies for damaged schools. For more information, please visit http://lostandfound311.jp/en/

PSPINC will have our copy of the book available to view in our lobby.
