Summer camp started!
Summer camp started last week, and it was good to see everybody whom we haven’t seen in so long coming back to school. This year’s theme is “Edo period ~ living in historical times”. Thus we organized various activities related to that theme every day. Last week, it was making hataki (homemade cloth feather dusters), substituting their backpacks with furoshiki (cloth that is folded into bags to carry items) and coming to school with them. Then on the hot Friday the children all had fun doing watermelon splitting!
