When I was young, older people always told us, they do not understand what we are thinking and what we enjoy. We are so different from our parents and we were proud of that. But the tide has changed, we are now looking at young people and saying ”I do not understand your values.” I guess it is the same thing what our parents went through.
Until our generation, all businesses wanted to create something young people would buy. We created Walkman, PCs, Tablets, Cellular Phones, Internet and so on. We created something tangible. Something you can touch. Now, the new generation created UBER, Air B&B, Car Sharing and so on. They are basically applications of the things we created. Instead of buying and owning the stuff, people rent what they need when they need them.
Younger people do not get their news from news media. They get it from their friends through the Internet. They do not really communicate well face-to-face, instead, they communicate with social media and text. Younger people are much more socially conscious than my generation. They care about the environment and the world we live in. They are not as protective as my generation. They seem very naive to my generation.
In any sense, it is difficult for my generation to understand millennials. But we need to adopt, try to understand and communicate with those who have different values. It is always a challenge for older people to deal with younger people. But younger people are the future and they will face what we are facing when they get as old as I am. Good luck with that!

I eat out every Sunday Morning ... I am calling it "Sunday Breakfast Club"
No... It is not a formal meeting or anything like that.
But I love to have people join me.
Today, I had my breakfast at Alexa's Cafe in Bothell.
I waited 25 minutes to be seated. Very popular place.
We have developed “Opinion Stand” which enables walk-in customers to input their opinion by pressing a button. There is nothing more simple than that. I thought it was a good idea for the establishment to receive real-time customer opinions, and it is. But I realized that business owners love this system but the employees who are facing customers do not really like their customers to evaluate them. Especially when the opinion sent directly to the business owners.
I found that businesses who have a good relationship between the management and the workers welcome this system. But many businesses that have less than ideal relationship would come up with the series of excuses like;
The system costs too much.
Customers are happy. We know that already.
I do not want to be judged.
This system is too simple to know what is wrong.
I thought businesses that already have paper surveys would be a good candidate but there is one big difference between “Opinion Stand” and a paper survey. That is, you can throw away the paper. With Opinion Stand, the response is immediate and direct.
The Opinion Stand we made has a different effect on businesses. It not only measures the customers’ opinion but the relationship you have with your staff. Nobody wants to be monitored when they are not doing their best. Opinion Stand is another set of eyes for your business.
There is something called "The Great Firewall of China"
This is the communist was to hide outside world to the people of China.
I have tested and see if Bloguru is blocked by it.

One of the products I found at COMPUTEX 2019 was a pen for Microsoft Surface Tablet/Laptop. The original Microsoft Pen costs $99 where as this pen costs less than 1/2 of that. They are being sold in the US online but they are looking for a distributor in the US.
When you explain your product and service to someone, you assume that someone has some basic knowledge about the product, service, industry and so on. A lot of times, without those basic pieces of knowledge, your explanation makes no sense to someone. Over 20 years ago, I had the honor to provide translation to Dr. Nicholas Negroponte at COMDEX to about 500 Japanese computer professionals. Dr. Negroponte is the founder of MIT Media Lab and he was going to talk about digital video streaming. This was before the Internet.
They're supposed to be 3 translators providing translation but 2 others did not show up, so I had to do the translation all by myself for an hour. So before his session had begun, I introduced myself to Dr. Negroponte and asked if there is something I should know about what he was going to say. He said “I am not going to talk technical things. Also, I talk very slow, so you should have no problem.”
Then the session has started. For the first few minutes, he introduced himself and what he was working on. I had no problem translating. Then he started to talk about digital video streaming ... He completely lost me. For the next 60 minutes, I really had no idea what he was saying. That was the longest 60 minutes of my life. I really felt bad for those who had to listen to me for 60 minutes.
I was told I did a good job translating from some of the people attended the session. I am sure Dr. Negroponte spoke at a very elementary level, but his elementary level was a lot higher than what I was able to translate.
My point here is that “please do not assume your audience understand your language.”
Prepare your speech like when you are talking to your mother or even grandmother.

I am stating to compel the list of things to do after visiting Computex 2019 in Taipei Taiwan.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
According to Peoples Republic of China, Taiwan is supposed to be a prat of China and US does not have diplomatic relationship with Taiwan. Therefore US does not have US Embassy in Taiwan.
Well, instead the US has "American Institute in Taiwan" I Taipei. However, this organization is listed on flooring web page.
Yes, it is listed in US Embassy website. So, do not make mistake, Taiwan is an independent country what has diplomatic relationship with the US. We should not mic this country with People Republic of China (Communist China).
This happened under Trump Administration.
Following the passage of the Taiwan Travel Act by the U.S. Congress on March 16th, 2018, relations between the United States and Taiwan have since maneuvered to an official and high-level basis. Did US media said anything about this?
With this note I am sure Bloguru may be banned in China.
