夏が始まったシアトル

メモリアルデーウィークエンドを超えて、
例年のようにシアトルには夏がやってきました。
気温はぐいぐいと上がって今日の午後5時は摂氏28度。
日本の皆さんご心配なく。
湿度がありませんので暑苦しさもなく、
ただ心地よい陽気です。
ギブスを装着してから2週間。
この日ドクター検診がありました。
順調に切れたアキレス腱が接続しているようで
2週間ぶりに見たわが足は
内出血からの膨らみから
通常のサイズに戻っていました。
今日からはギブスに代わってブーツの着用です。
ブーツも取れて歩けるようになるまで
6週間ほどかかるのだそうです。
この陽気の中、我が子たちは既に涼を求め
湖に浸かっています。
このブーツを履いたまま私が湖に飛び込んだら
その重さで沈んでしまいます。
足を使って泳いだなら
アキレス腱を再度断絶することになるでしょう。
早くつながれ〜アキレス腱。
おいらも湖に飛び込みたいんじゃ〜。
Over Memorial Day Weekend.
As usual, summer has arrived in Seattle.
The temperature has been rising rapidly and at 5:00 p.m. today it was 28 degrees Celsius.
Don't worry, people in Japan.
There is no humidity, so it's not too hot.
It's just a pleasant day.
It's been two weeks since I got my cast.
I had a doctor's checkup this day.
The torn Achilles tendon seems to be connecting well.
It's been two weeks since I saw my leg.
It had returned to its normal size.
Today, I was put on a boot instead of a cast.
It will take about six weeks until the boot is removed and I can walk again.
In this sunny weather, my children are already taking a dip in the lake to cool off.
If I jumped into the lake with these boots on, I would sink under the weight of them.
If I swam with my feet, I would rupture my Achilles tendon again.
Hurry up and be connected my Achilles tendon.
I want to jump into the lake too!
