I started this yesterday and I just finished it.
Tiny and nano are staying with me as Mayumi is on business trip to California.
My business trip to Asia will start next Monday.
This will be my first trip since Pompom has passed.
I still feel like I am leaving Pompom for my business trip.
Today is a Memorial Day ... I went to Costco to fill up the gas but it was closed. I guess the trend is to close the store on national holidays. So, instead of usual Costco Gas, I had to fill up at 76 gas station. I think I had to pay $0.40 per gallon more at 76 than Costco. So with 15 gallon fillip, I paid $6.00 more.
It is not much but I just do not like to pay more than I had to.
View of City of BellevueMt. RainierBluewater BistroJoe's ScrambleWhere is Leschi?
Leschi ... I did not know where it was until today.
Actually I know the location but I did not know the location was called Leschi.
I had a breakfast this morning at Bluewater Bistro ... People I know told about this restaurant. So, I went there.
I love the view and the food ... One thing, I did not like the coffee there.
I went to YMCA this morning for a=some swimming and went to play golf today. I walked the first nine (with push cart). I shot 45 / 45 = 90 today. I am starting to get little more comfortable not swinging so hard.
So far this year, my handicap has moved from 15.8 to 14.4. That is a good thing. I did not play much golf when Pompom was sick. Pompom was my highest priority.
How does this apply to the business. I just encounter a good example of this. When we design a new products ... people say
"It will not sell because _______ is missing."
Instead, I would like to hear
"It will sell when of ________ is there."
Both are saying the same thing, but people who are listening them will take tem completely differently. The fist way is not productive at all. But the second way is very assuring. Do you agree?
I will be at COMPUTEX (https://www.computextaipei.com.tw) from the 5th ~ 9th. If you are attending the show, please contact me. We can get together to exchange notes.
Following is the exhibit that I am most interested in.
COMPUTEX 2018 Presents Largest Startup Platform in Asia with Global Startups and Resources to Maximize Commercialization Opportunities
Innovative technology is currently revolutionizing industries and driving markets to become more diversified. With a series of much-anticipated forums, the platform makes it possible for exciting new ideas to emerge. Entering its third edition, this year’s InnoVEX will take place from June 6th to 8th at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 3, with some exhibits focusing on artificial intelligence (AI) technology and applications.
To support homeless population in Seattle (who are not paying any tax), Seattle city taxes $275 per employee if your gross revenue is over $20 million dollars. But the city did not say how they are going to use money ... Or if they use the money for homeless problem.
In addition, they are raising property tax for businesses. Seattle is very anti-business. I know few businesses are moving elsewhere.
Mr. Alex Shin of Blue Ginger restaurant in Bellevue treated us to rare Kobe Beef Steak at his restaurant. It was marbled well and soft but tender. It was a great steak. Thank you.
I shot 43 for the first nine and shot 51 for back nine.
The total was 94 ... Not that great. Back nine ... I think I was getting tired and made a lot of mistakes.
I need to see Pompom sometime. Yesterday was one of those days. So I drew Pompom quickly. Not as detail as one on this blog avatar. But it makes me feel little better.
As time passes, I am afraid that I will for get Pompom. I do not want to forget him.
I sent my parents a package of Hams, Hamburgers, Beacons and Sausages. They send me pictures and told me they were the better gifts the usual ... Hmmm.
I am glad they like them.
Tiny is stying with me to ease my pain of loosing Pompom. I know Tiny is also hurting because of Pompom not being around. I did not realize how big a part Pompom had for last 15 years.
I have a lot to learn from Tiny. 16 year old big brother of Pompom.

I finally was able to order Kirkland Signature golf balls.
I ordered 2 packages which are 4 dozen golf balls at the price of $63.76.
That price includes $9.98 shipping and $5.80 sales tax.
That means the ball cost is $15.94 per dozen (including shipping and tax).
Pro-V1 costs over $50 per dozen, this is a great price.
I have used this balls at several times (I found them on the course). It performs well for me. And price is better than other balls.
I have Canon Color ImageClass MF624Cw Laser printer. I have purchased glossy laser printer paper ... But I cannot print color images. Is this me, or Ian I missing something?
Many times companies like ours listen to customers when we design and develop products and services. But when the products is released, we stop listening to the customers and start listening to the engineers and managers.
When it come out to the technology, customers often have no idea, but they always know what they are missing. Listening to that is very important.
I know this restaurant was here but I have never been there ... because it looks pretty run down.
Well, I went there ... I was surprised about the price (inexpensive) and quantity was massive. Taste like home made cooking. I will definitely go there again. BTW, this restaurant has 4 and 1/2 start rating. Wow!
Tiny Nakamura
Happy Birthday to Tiny.
Tiny was born in Japan, May 13, 2002
Happy 16th Birthday to Tiny Nakamura.
You are the inspiration to everyone. Please keep up the good work ad live long and healthy.
I am sorry Pompom is not here to here to celebrate your birthday.
When the business is not running well, small things start to go wrong. Look at this display at a bank branch ... Windows Update Notice is being displayed ... Nobody is doing anything about it. It is not a good sign. Nobody cares.
Cobra has a top sport for search. The first link does get you nowhere.
I was searching for Cobra Golf website ... after the search, I click on the first link. Cobra Golf must have paid a lot of money to be the first ... but it took me to the error page. What a waste of advertising money?

With Pompom
I walked Kelsey Creek Park the after noon. Last time I walk the section the park was July 2016. I had a good walk this afternoon. The last picture was from 2016.
This is what I ride today.
Brand New 2015 Honda Intercepter
I test ride the motorcycle today. It was fun.
This is something I could not do with Pompom.
When you ride, you cannot think about anything else.
It is same as swimming in the morning.

I took tis picture today at Kusak Cut Glass Works.
1911 22nd Ave S, Seattle, WA 98144
It's hard to believe the company like Kusak Cut Glass Works with the history of over 100 years will be closing by the end of next month. I hope they will find a place to move and continue its legacy.
But for now, they are having huge sale. If you go downtown Seattle, you should pay visit to Kusak Cut Glass Works. Please when you visit Kusak, please tell Mr. Chuck Kusak, you saw Ken Uchikura's blog.
It has been one month since I have to let Pompom go. I still feel guilty about that but I am telling myself I could not make him suffer. I have surround myself with picture and memories of Pompom but that does not really help. I try to keep myself busy by waking up one hour early and going to swim everyday.
I still cannot stop thinking about what I could have done differently. People are telling me I did everything (maybe more than most people) I can. But at the end I lost Pompom. I am very sorry I could not cure him, help him. I cannot forgive myself even when I know there was nothing more I can do.
Please rest in peace. And if you are somewhere, please look for me and stay with me.
I usually fill up at COSTCO but today it was really empty. So I went to a near by Chevron gas station to fill up my car. It was almost $55 to fill up my car. It has been a long tome since the fill up cost more than $50.00.
It was raining when I got there ut it got cleared.I am trying to fix my hook problem.Did you know you can see the Son qualm Falls from the course?I have never seen the fall from this side.Played with two 36 years old and one 30 years old.
I really felt old.
I played golf at The Golf Club at Snoqualmie Ridge, the home of The Boeing Classic. I shot 44/46 90 today. I played for the first time that I don't really have to care about going home early to take care of Pompom. I think I have to get used to that.
Politicians like using the word "FREE" a lot. And when it becomes reality, they take a credit for it. But things that are provided by government free of charge are paid by taxes paid by the people and businesses.
Instead of politicians taking credit for spending tax money, the credit should be given to the tax payers and businesses. It will be nice for politicians to say thank you to those people and businesses paying taxes.
